Moments of ultra-clarity

Has there ever been a moment in your life when you felt God's presence,
and knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that He was real?
Many people I've encountered throughout my life have reported
such experiences, as have I.

This super-clear insight could come through an experience as simple as seeing
ducklings following their mother on a pond,
or by watching a magnificent sunset.
Or, such clarity could come through something much more dramatic,
like a sudden and profound major life change.

Have you ever had such a moment of higher consciousness,
or felt God was speaking to you through nature?
Have you been made aware of Him suddenly, and seemingly without cause,
as if He simply wanted you to know He's there?

I answered no, even though I have had experiences that may be as you describe. But I cannot accept logically the certainty part, I am a limited being so I cannot conclude any perception is infallible. Even a schizophrenic is absolutely certain of his perceptions while the rest of us can demonstrate they are in error and result of a malfunction.

However, existence implies that there is a cause for existing and I conclude that that cause must be an intellect with great power and as I perceive desires ultimately good for His intelligent creations. Yet uncertainty is a fundamental aspect of existence, science seems to indicate our physical reality could not exist with out it. I also think that the Creator expects nothing more then we are capable of in trying to understand. How could He expect anything more? I also think people unnecessarily harm their own minds fighting a 'war' against the unknown and asking all sorts of questions about the 'meaning' of life. No one can force a flower to open before it is its natural time so why be impatient with life and the universe?

I answered yes . I asked god to give me absolute proof that I would see my boy friend again. ( He lives on the other side of the planet). I had lost my promise ring he gave me , it had been missing 6 months. I had lost it in a ditch where rain water moved quite quickly into a drain and into the river. I had searched high and low, and it had been raining through out those 6 months. I looked down after I asked for a sign , and I saw my ring sitting in plain sight. I felt his presence I felt as if he was telling me to look down . The funny thing is I knew what I was gonna find , almost as if god was speaking to me . Not in words but in emotions or something like that . People thing your egotistical when you say god speaks to you, but I believe he speaks to every one they just have to listen.

Not God, never the God you think of. It is how Einstein, Hawking, or Thoreau would speak of god - the feeling (nay, realization) that you ARE nature, and that you are a product of nature, and that you are governed by all the same laws.

people feel stuff all the time, it doesn't prove anything other than a potential case of schizophrenia or more simply a god of the gaps response to a phenomena or stimuli.

I guess I've felt those instances but I think it was more of cooling wind on a hot day sort of thing.

In short: Yes.

Now to say "He is real", I don't know. He IS. That is all.

No, never, not once. I have never experienced anything that could even be called remotely spiritual. This is neither good or bad, it is just my reality.
