Find out more here. As an aside, I've never personally met somebody who claimed to be a Mennonite before, though I may possibly have met Mennonites w/o knowing.

We have a large Mennonite population here in Oregon. Most don't dress plain.

zook is a prominant name last name in the mennonite and amish circles.
others are miller, martin, yoder, mast, maust, lee, beachey, beachy, peachy, peachey, hostetler, hochsetler, hochstedler, Bender, Gingerich - many forms of this name, good, Herschberger - many forms as ell, Kauffman, King, Lapp, Raber, Schrock, Showalter, Stoltzfus, Troyer, and zimmerman, nisly, nissley, nisley also many others.
interesting that 99% of millers are related to each other. same goes for yoders, nissleys which include nisly and nisley , and masts which include maust.
