Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, dead at 89.

I've been avoiding PP&R for awhile, but I decided to come back here to post a memorial thread for memoirist, novelist, historian, tireless anti-communist, and Nobel laureate Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. I read the first volume of the Gulag Archipelago and found it a passionate and unique document of soviet terror. I thought the staunch anti-communists on this forum (I think there are about 3,000 of you) would appreciate this.

Leave your thoughts here.

First word I have to say is PPR IS AWESOME!! I don't know why on earth you'd want to avoid my internet home! 'Tis so cozy, like a bar where everybody knows your name.

But anyway, yes, actually I have seen a number of people mourn the loss of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn in the economics blogs I like to read.
