I'm sick of comercials trying to bang into m,y head what is male and whate is female behavir. If they were built in things, they wouldnt have to try to convince me how to be. If i can act in other ways, then they arnt. Are they just afraid people will do as they see fit so must pound into them what roles they think they so have?

I no longer watch television because I am nauseated by commercials and their comical attempts at brainwashing. I would rather download my TV or read a book where I am not subject to a blatant attempt to persuade me to buy more useless rubbish.

If they would just tell you the products name and what it does and why they think its best I would be ok, but now they are trying tell me...
what I crave,
what my thirst is,
whats for dinner,
what my dreams are.

The solution is Tivo (or some other similar device) where you can skip commercial and just watch the programmes. I consider advertising to be invasive and insultingly transparent.

Do you find the Axe commericals insulting?
I find most commercials for feminine products insulting. Why am I supposed to want to buy a razor because it's pink?
Do they really think that I'll buy yogurt to fit into a smaller dress size?

Just my minirant. I completely agree with you.

That pink thing is madness. Why is that women are supposed to like pink and men are supposed to like blue?

Because "masculinity" and "femininity" are both social constructs. It just so happens that in western culture, pink is considered more of a "feminine" color.

Why do you assume it's brainwashing? You don't program people to have X perception of gender when you can simply prey upon preexisting cultural perceptions. Advertising isn't designed to be social engineering; that's what schools are for.

I like the Axe commercials, they are well made, those types of advertisements have been around for years, the one I remember the most was the Hai Karate commercial.

No you got it right...

Men are supposed to look at pink clothing worn by a woman and be reminded of the other pink (at least subconsciously)...

Actually, in a moment of sheer pseudosientific awesomeosity, an evolutionary psychologist once suggested the preference for pink might have to do with the fact that women in primitive societies tend more towards being gatherers, so a keen eye for bright fruity colors would be an advantage. Actually I heard of this second hand by someone who was mocking how much ep's get to BS...

Women do tend to have larger vocabularies for colors, and are waay less prone to color blindness, so the idea that their affinity for color in general is possibly natural is plausible. It would simply remain to show that there is some kind of objective reason that pink taps into this. I have no reason to suppose that at present though.

Actually, it makes sense.
As women are suppose to like pink, and I am not suppose to like pink, it is funny that, a woman wearing pink clothes might attrack my attention towards to her, a little more strongly than if it was another color, that might happen with other males.

well, I'm not sure about that in scientific terms, I usually conclude that the pink color for women to be an artificial construct, as well as odors and perfumes, why perfumes for women smell different from perfumes for men? Who or what established how a woman is supposed to smell like and how a man is supposed to smell like, was it nature or was it artificial? that in itself also raises the question of claims that perfumes to be aphrodisiacs, which it seems likely to be artificial social constructs that we learn, from birth in society.

Clothes, make up, long hair, why women put on make-up to attract men, how come men are not the ones that have to wear make-up, wear dresses, wear clothes with pink colors, in order to attract women? where this actually come from? It is something interesting to wonder about.

I don't think that commercials are so much concerned with making people behave a certain way as they are with getting you to buy their product by latching onto psychological or cultural issues that can be used for their advantage.

Well, you have to remember that most people aren't aspies. Most people will need something memorable in order to remember to at least look closer, so the ads will then focus upon emotions or something else to make themselves remembered. Heck, any basic business marketing or communications class will teach you what they are doing and why. Their methods don't even necessarily have much to do with stereotypes, they don't care what *you* actually value, rather what most value and how that relates to their products, and they often try to do market research in order to promote the product rather than merely stereotype as well, marketers can be cunning.
