Since we couldn't have Kerry as president, I've got a good job for him. Now that John Paul II's dead, he should be the next pope! He'd be very good for the job, and he'd make the world a better place! A left-wing pope would be good for the entire world. Plus, he's Catholic, so he wouldn't be breaking all the rules! As for the other rules, screw them, he could just buy the election like all politicos do nowadays. I know he'd have about as much of a chance of becoming pope as George W. Bush, but it's good to fantasize! I'm not affected by the pope, but I'd like to hear your opinions on this. But so, for those reasons and more, if the next pope is John F. Kerry the world would be better and happier too!

George W. Bush will probably steal the papal elections like he did ours so he can get world domination anyway. :(

John Kerry is not a true Catholic, he is pro choice. Even though bush is a baptist, he would make a better pope than john skerry

JP2 has already been succeeded by Joseph Ratzinger, and I'll be damned if that man doesn't look like Emperor Palpatine. 8O

*shrug* He still looks like Emperor Palpatine. I was hoping for someone a little less conventional. An African pope would have been nice.

There have been African popes in the past...when the Roman Empire was still in existence.

We need one from North or South America.

The Palpatine joke has been done to death, and now nobody outside of the Roman Catholic Church really cares... The only pope in recent history that people outside the Roman Catholic Church cared about was John Paul II...

oh wow this is an old thread.. isn't it? it's funny that you say that though, because John Kerry was in the Skull and Bones just like George Bush... and yes he would fit in well there, because the higher levels of catholic church is just another illuminati faction..

My personal preference would be nobody for pope and turn the vatican into a museum themed around the evils of indoctrination :D

OK it should read .....evils of religious indoctrination. Happy now? Mind you you are correct many schools and Uni's do indoctrinate and not encourage free thinking so maybe we could turn Harvard into a general evils of indoctrination museum. (just picking upon Harvard cos it was the first one to come to mind)

freethinking is having the information made available to you and being able to formulate your own opinion without prejudice form the scholastic institution.

What snobbery :?
