But at least Glenn did wake up! Ron Paul still awesome as usual.

God bless him.. I pray that he stays in politics.. and I dont wish that on many. He's the only smart and honest man in his field..

I have tremendous respect for Dr. Paul and his firm commitment to principles, but of late my views have changed somewhat and I can no longer support him so wholeheartedly. In particular his obsession with maintaining the original intent of the Constitution, when it was meant to be flexible and Jefferson himself said that we should never continue to do something simply because that's what we did in the past. I'm all for following the Constitution very closely though; I think it should be changed rather than ignored if people want to change the way we do things.

From the time I heard about him to a couple months after the Republican primaries ended. I still do like a lot of his ideas, but I think a gradualist approach would work better than instantaneous radical change that he proposes. And there are some of his views that I could go either way on.

I was a Ron Paul supporter but I find him much less appealing now that he has endorsed a member of the Christian Taliban:

Maybe that's why Glen Beck and Fox News have suddenly starting praising him.

I think I'll probably vote for Bob Barr. Even though he's a phony, a vote for him will send the right message to the powers that be.

Who is Ron Paul? Is he popular?

he's a libertarian/constitutionalist styled old school republican who's into the austrian economic model and so he's been decrying many actions of the congress and president for a while now with regards to overbloated spending and not nearly enough economic self-discipline and more oversight over the federal reserve.

he also believes in non-interventionist policies* and is a very conservative christian. i liked all of his policies except the christian part so i voted for him. afterall, who cares about religion when there needs to be good economic and foreign policy in office!!



*not simply non-war but proper non-interventionist. there difference here being, as an example, the US intervening in the politics of iran in 1953 and overthrowing their government and putting in their own leader is non-war but very interventionist. instead he believes in intervention through economic means and established trade as a means to encourage positive growth in relations between countries.
