If humans were indistinguishable from other primates at one time in the past, during the course of evolution we evolved into the humans we are today.
Therefore, does that mean that when we exhibited more animal traits, it wouldn't have been unethical to kill that entire species based on the popular opinion of today regarding animal welfare.
We don't allow animals to have rights, but back then we were like they are today. If you believe in evolution, then you have to admit that evolution is still taking place. Is it possible that chimps, orangutans, and gorillas can evolve in a similar way that we have?
There are talks about giving chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans human rights as we are all members of the biological family Hominidae.
they could evolve in a similar way to us but it would take millions of years.. who knows in millions of years we may evolve to become more like them again *shrugs*
