Before the creation of the state of Israel, Jews last had control of Palestine in 721bc when they lost independence to Assyria. Previously they had wrested control from the Philistines in 1000bc under King David.
Since 721bc Palestine has been ruled by successive invaders. In 1845 there were just 12'000 jews in Palestine. In 1897 the first Zionist congress was held, in 1906 the Zionist congress decided that Palestine should be the home of the Jews and by 1914 the population had increased to 85'000
Since then there has been a systemic disregard for the NON Jewish Palestinian population, The non Jewish Palestinians have been completely dispossessed to the point where they are now living in conditions resembling the Jewish ghettos of Nazi Europe, similarly when they react and retaliate to the behaviour of Israel the response is completely disproportionate. This has been carried out by the Zionists with the approval of the UN
I fail to see a right of non Palestinian Jews to call Palestine their ancestral home.
This is how I see it, what do you think?

Two things that have me confused, maybe I have my facts wrong I just want to bounce this off of you:
- Did Israel not buy most of that land from the Palestinians?
- The Palestinian 'refugees', didn't they leave their homes at the urging of kings in the region who told them "Don't worry, leave, we'll destroy the zionist state, and we'll give your land right back to you"? Ever since it looks like the world media has persistently put the carriage way out in front of the horse.
Whether Hamas's actions are proportional to Israel's existence or a farse of the hypocrisy of religious supremacy and world opinion - the history of what really happened here is the very difference between those two hypotheses. Picking apart the history leads to an answer one way or the other I'm sure. The lynch-pins of either argument revolve around both the foundation as well as, and especially, the Palestinian Exodus of 1948 and all events surrounding it. If we could dial in on those events we may have a sensible platform to really make something of this thread.

Not really, Prior to 1948 the Zionist terror organisation Hagana attacked and took Palestinian villages that were not being annexed to Israel under the UN plan. There was massive resistance from the Palestinians to the whole 'Israel' plan and they repeatedly rejected it.
Breakdown of the UN Vote On the establishment of Israel. Remember at this time the British had a mandate over the area
Adopted at the 128th plenary meeting:
In favour: 33
Australia, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Byelorussian S.S.R., Canada, Costa Rica, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, France, Guatemala, Haiti, Iceland, Liberia, Luxemburg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Sweden, Ukrainian S.S.R., Union of South Africa, U.S.A., U.S.S.R., Uruguay, Venezuela.
Against: 13
Afghanistan, Cuba, Egypt, Greece, India, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Yemen.
Abstained: 10
Argentina, Chile, China, Colombia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Honduras, Mexico, United Kingdom, Yugoslavia. With regard to financial compensation. When the state was formed the Arab nations allied to the Palestinians to prevent this.
Prior to Zionism Non Jewish and Jewish Palestinians co-existed in 1947 63% of palestinians were non jewish, after 1948 this 63% were given just 43.73% of the land.
With regard to compensation there was provision made for this in the UN charter. However how would you like someone to compulsoryly purchase your land and tell you what price they were going to pay for it!!
Since 1948 Israel has taken a massive amount of the 43% set aside for non Jewish Palestinians
