There is in German a proverb: "If stupidity would be painful ... " - I not certain there is enough morphine in the world to give here some relive.

I don't understand how this proves or disproves anything. This is just stupid.

I think it is a parody of the "Banana disproves evolution" argument.

If I command a monkey to spontaneously eveolve into a human being, and the monkey just sits there, does that disprove evolutionaey theory? Does it disprove anything at all? Or is it just silliness?

I am an evolutionist but I agree with SlowMutant. Completely stupid.

It's a parody of the Peanut Butter video that I put up. In the Peanut Butter video, some guy uses a jar of Peanut Butter to try to prove that evolution doesn't happen

Evolutionary theory states that one species evolves from another over millions of years, not spontaneously. So in order for your test to be correct, you would have to wait several million years and see what the primates become.

However, creation theory is that DNA and genes are meaningless. God spontaneously made everything poof into existence and, as an all-powerful being, has the capability to make one thing spontaneously poof into another. Creation/biblical theory stipulates that God would have no trouble spontaneously turning a jar of pasta sauce into a goat or Buffy the Vampire Slayer (hoping for the latter - I really, really miss that series).

This makes the experiment in the video valid (by the rules set out by the Creationists).

Not really, creationism is basically an error-theory, it is something that could only logically be the most parsimonious answer if no other theory could account for the data, as the process of creation under this theory are supernatural, and thus experiments could never be valid, for experiments tend to rely upon methodological naturalism and the notion that behavior is lawful, but the supernatural cannot be manipulated, and the laws behind such actions would be difficult if not impossible to work. I mean, I would think that the most honest way to attack creationism, creation science, and ID is simply to call out the elephant and say that these "theories" could never be scientific even if they were true, and for obvious reasons about the nature of human knowledge.

Well I think it is great science and disproves creationism. :shameonyou:

Also the rooster crowing in the background adds to the ambience of this experiment.

It would be cool if the pasta sause would turn into sarah michele gellar though. :chin:

Nuh uh. No mere mortal could have assembled something so tasty as spaghetti. Obviously divinely inspired, ergo, pasta sauce proves God! Once again, evolutionists are destroyed by their own arguments
