Anyone ever had that asked, and tired of it? WHat if you don't believe in astrology?

I love the question because I do not fit any of the stereo types for Capricorn and it leaves the believers scratching their heads

It annoys me as well. I always feel reminded of this: http://cectic.com/182.html

LOL at the comic strip!

I kinda believe in astrology, but that "what's your sign" line is SO last cosmic cycle.

Two standard answers:

"I don't believe in astrology - we Virgos are far too logical for that."

or

"No parking this side, third Tuesday of every month, 4-6 AM, city ord 45975.352."

I didn't realise that was possible. I thought star-signs were drawn so vaguely you could see enough of the characteristics in anyone.

Nice one for exploding it! 8)

I don't believe in astrology, but I find it extremely annoying that in many ways I fit the Cancer stereotype so well. Damn it. I've been trying to escape ever since I realised that.

Personally, I find it most annoying when you remark that you don't believe in the validity of astrology, only to be met with "Well, you wouldn't. People with your sign are always very skeptical."

When asked for my astrological sign, I just give them "The Lizard Look" - as if waiting for them to excuse themselves after they've farted - and then shake my head and go back to what I was doing.

It works on those who ask if I've been saved, too!

OK here's my rant with a few questions relating to our solar system..

Why do 9 planets rotate around our star? Does it have anything to do with curved space/time? Any of you experts on the nature of space/time?...Can anyone explain why space/time is curved? And how that curviture sort of regulates the orbits of 9 planets around our star? And how that relates to gravity?? And how Pluto stays in orbit when it is so far away from our star? Doesn't that ever boggle your mind? And the forces involved would logically be extraordinarily powerful..? And just might affect how we experience space/time? Because we're an integral part of this SOLAR SYSTEM...and whatever is going on with this solar system is going on with us.

It is 8 planets. Pluto is now classified as a Kuyper Body, not a planet. There are tens of thousands of bodies revolving about the sun. They assume approximately elliptical orbits (somewhat perturbed by mutual gravitation) because in a four dimension manifold given the ground metric of the space the orbits are the geodesics, i.e. shortest space-time distances.

Of the four known forces, gravitation is the weakest.

yeah, since Pluto is demoted, Scorpios will have to find another planet...;)
