Ever since 22, I've found myself praying whenever I feel "lost" or in a situation that I don't feel I have the tools and means to deal with. I get anxiety about the outcome being hopeless, so I ask for guidance. Does anyone else feel the need to do so?

I tried to pray occasionally when I was younger, but it always felt really forced and hollow.

I do. It's something that comes naturally to me. But I keep it private and quiet.

Never, unless I'm pretending while I'm at a funeral. :P

I do the same thing. I do believe in a higher power, and I usually feel bad after praying in times of need, because those are the only times I do it.

Prayer though, when I'm feeling lost, does help me out a lot.

Never. I might have hope in some things, but praying strikes me as the most ineffectual and meaningless thing ever.

I frequently pray to give thanks for all the blessings that have come my way, to seek guidance in the things that I have my doubts about, and to ask for comfort for all those who need comforting.

Funny story...I prayed once, ever. I was so unbelievably depressed at the time that I prayed there was no god and the next 80 years really would be the last

Ditto here =/

Every once in a while I try to remind myself to pray at other times.

Kind of weird though, I don't fold my hands and close my eyes (unless I'm trying to sleep) or say anything out loud when I pray, not even in church. And I hardly ever pray to Jesus or anyone else.

I don't either. I just never really felt the need to do it a certain way. I just kind of say what I need to say (in my head) and I'm done. I don't always address anyone either. I just assume that whoever is meant to hear my prayers will hear them, regardless.

Fantastic avatar, by the way. I'm a big K.K. Slider fan.

Always have. At one point in my life I used to pray for God to open my eyes. After this, I started to have flashbacks of awful memories. I started to think, "How could God torment me so. What have I gotten myself into here." But now, I see. I needed to "remember" in order to heal. God showed me truth...and the truth did hurt. But I'll never live in ignorance again...so, people watch what you wish for...you just might get in a form you don't expect...but the outcome will be wonderful. Trust in the Lord.

I pray every night and when needed in the day.

I find they are answered quite often.

You'd be surprised what it can do.
