There are rather a lot of people on the internet who doubt the existence of Jesus. Intriguingly, there are rather few historians who think the same. The internet being a bastion of scholarship and intellectual discipline, we must only conclude that historians are in error.

Do you mean that there was a man named Jesus in the middle east? Yeah, it is sort of funny how many people try to say that such a person didn't exist.

Do you mean the fact that a lot of people who research this issue believe the resurrection occurred? That one is more complex, and I suppose you probably meant the former as a number of atheists believe that Jesus probably existed, they just do not believe in the supernatural occurrences tied to him.

In reality there is more evidence of Jesus then you might know of. flip on the History channel.

Bless me Shadowgirl, for I have sinned. :(

The History Channel has a lot of nonsense - aliens, psychics and such.

Metaphorically, sure. Literally? No. Our DNA indicates that we are related to chimps and bonobos, and that we share common ancestors.

((Why is it that people that absolutely refuse to believe in evolution have no problem at all with the idea that we descended from dust?))

dust is more noble than monkeys

(it doesnt scream, or throw feces around)

:D

oh and about history channel, HAHAHA :)
yeah, i even cought national geographic bowing to the ultimate power of organized religion. i didnt think they'd do it, but oh they bowed :(

another truth.

most people got a very nice and stable idea of their reality. just TELLING people that theyre wrong, especially in this mass-information-world, is as good as impossible, and one nothing but come off as a preaching mitionary.

hardline religions have it especially difficult, i gather, since the stories ARE kinda outlandish nowadays, that we know about astronomy, genetics, and other things they were clueless about when the bible was written.

I don't own a television.

What evidence? There are the Gospels. I am not aware of much else other than the Gospels that would be useful as good evidence though.

The Q document is suposidly where the first 4 gospels were taken from. unforunatley, the Q document has never been found. so more than likely a scribe wrote them, like 70 years after the fact.

yes lets bet all out base on that

absolutely zero evidence.

as i've said before, if you remove all the magical mambo-jambo frem jesus, you get an anti-authoritarian carpenter in the ME.
im not arguing against the existence of those tho, but also, a carpenter is totally uninteresting, and not worthy of worship :]

I am perplexed. Disobeying God is perfection?
