I don't think you can call hunting any more cruel or inhumane than the natural order of things, in fact a bullet is probably less painful than being ripped apart by sharp teeth and claws. As far as aerial hunting goes, it may be unsporting, but I don't think you can make the argument that it's any more cruel. From what I've heard, the terrain where it's allowed is so rugged that there is no other option, and the wolves need culling from time to time. We're not talking leg hold traps or coursing with hounds here, where the means itself is more painful, just the method of stalking, which as said, could be considered unsporting.

I think it's official now, Dox47. You're a sociopath.

Nah, just a really good hunter. What kind of AR is that Dox47, it looks a little like an M16, but the grip doesn't look familiar, is it some variation of the AK47?

It's not an AR at all, it's a German G36, the standard rifle used by their army. It's not available on the civilian market, the one I'm shooting in that picture is a dealer sample that belonged to a guy that I worked for that was a dealer in destructive devices. It's basically a German AR though, if a little neater looking if I do say so myself.

Nothing wrong with hunting for food, I don't care for trophy hunting, since most of them leave the meat to rot.

Aren't wolves and endangered species? What do you do with them after they are killed? Eat them? Yuck that would be like eating a dog and hunting for fur and trophies is just wrong.

Why, cause I pointed out a logical inconsistency in someone's argument? Explain to me how shooting a wolf from a helicopter is more cruel than shooting a wolf from the ground again?

Also, are you like trying to get a suspension or something, insulting Triangulartrees for no good reason in another thread, now this?

Ahh, one of my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies. I find that miniguns and rocket launchers are not the most practical hunting tools however, they don't leave much in the way of usable meat or undamaged trophies, and for some reason the game wardens seem to have a problem with them... I have heard of wild boar hunters in the southeast using special rigs with nightvision and silencers to hunt wild pigs, that sounds kind of fun. I might feel a little ridiculous hunting an animal with that kind of gear though, it sort of falls again into that "unsporting" category.

Yes, great movie. I just love the bit towards the end of the clip when the action hots up.

I'd imagine the Australians, here, may be more familiar with pest-control from helicopters, what with their kangaroos, pigs and camels across vast expanses of continent.

This is an unchristian thing to say.

I don't know how is this hunting for sport thing, in my opinion it should be outlawed, as there is no point in this, and those who do should look for other "hobbies". Hunting humans for sport, pretty much that's ilegal ;)

Yeah, that looks pretty cool, I will admit. But the music playing was not "Ride of the Valkries. "It was the beginning of another classical piece called "O Fortuna."

In my opinion, scenes of carnage are much better when confined to a movie screen. In real life, people die and the destruction is real.
