All I can say is at least the judge educated himself. Ignorance leads to a lot of trouble, and if this had caught national headlines and the judge would've locked him up, I'm pretty sure you know what would would've hit the fan for this guy. He would've had quite a few medical associations on his case. As far as where I stand, I'm guessing he had it a little worse off than people like me, so I see it as 10% misbehavior and 90% part of his disability. I'm pretty sure he'd been taught coping skills, but agitation in teens with Autism is often very hard to control, depending on the severity.

At least the judge educated himself about autism. As far as the fire alarm going off more than once, that happened the first day of school when I was a high school freshman. The alarm went off twice during the day, and it was just a malfunction since there were no fire drills scheduled, nor did anyone pull the alarm lever as a prank.

Hi, thanks for sharing that article. I'm glad that the young man did not get into serious trouble. I can understand why he would get irritated by the fire alarms. When I'm at work, it often bothers me to hear announcements on the loudspeaker. By the way, I'm a Christian too.
