that's horrible! the greeks believed in the body as a work of art, not as a profane piece of junk! These kids should not be taught that greek art is disturbing but a piece of history. A piece of someone's blood, sweat, and tears was put into this work of art...in other words WTFF!

I think this teacher was insane. If children see the genitals of other people depicted in paintings, they might start thinking about their own genitals, and why they are there. This could lead to them *GASP* touching their genitals in an inappropriate manner! This could lead to an explosion in the number of venereal diseases in the state of Texas.

My advice for the kids, the parents, the teachers, the union, and everyone else involved.
1. Destroy those sinful paintings.
2. Take a cold shower.
3. Read the Bible.
4. Think of your mother's pure love.
5. Pray.

Only through constant vigilance can we keep the forces of Satan at bay.

My advice
4. Think of your mother

I prefer to avoid thinking of my mother when I see other people's genitals.

<RANT>

And the famous GWB of Texas goes on about how backward Islam is? LMFAO.

Someone, for God's sake, rid the world of this puritannical ignorance! You have to pity them though: if they hate the human form so much, why do they own one? Surely in these days of rampant consumerism and advanced genetic engineering, someone can breed a human without genitals. That'll satisfy the parents of these stupid f*****g prudes (no offence unintended) so they can't even play with themselves, and hopefully end the genetic line breeding all this close-mindedness.

Why cant people just grow up and accept that half of us have penises and testicles, and half of us have vaginas/uterii (sp. plural?), and that it's no more unnatural to see them than it is an arm, or a leg, or a nose.

The human form should be adored for its adaptability, its beauty, and its quite extraordinary capability without embarrassment or shame:

If kids are taught to be scared of themselves, how can they ever be happy?

Nurture beat nature on this one. It's self-hatred, which they were taught as children and will teach to their children. And of course they project their problem out onto the world. By proclaiming "Protect the innocent children!" they're subconsciously trying to protect the wounded child that exists inside of them.

I saw an article on this. I was thinking about my own art teacher. I wish he would take us on art trips. anyway, The kids were getting at that age where they would be curious anyway, and it's an art museum. They are bound to see certain things. I think the school should have made sure the kids only went in places where nude art wasn't around, so there weren't complaints.

This story says the school district has been taking trips to this museum for years and the article reports that this teacher was paid off to leave another district before so who knows what exactly going in with this.

I think that the school should not cater to people like the one who complain. The vast majority have no problem with art museums. Why must the level of education be dumbed down to suit those who whine about people seeing the genitals of statues? If anything should be censored it should be the whiners.
