Unfortunately, there are no bidders. ;)

Just kidding, of course. But I still can't name ten famous Belgians. :(

I'm an Alaskan. AK did not become a state until the late 1950's and we're still the third world of the US - totally backward (love it like that too). We just cannot catch up.

Anyway, Russia sold Alaska to the United States, as property, for $1 million dollars. The (stupid) US almost didn't make the deal, calling AK a 'frozen wasteland' (major slapping insult). So, if Belgium is for sale, remember Alaska's sale price - coupons accepted. Rebate offer? Why not? Sort of wish Russia would buy us back. The US has raped Alaska, the last wild frontier, for our oil and most villages still have no clean water (certainly not plumbing), septic systems, other necessities.

Werbert, you can be the auctioner.....Belgium, going once, twice, any bidders? Trade for Alaska?

Man I wish I would've known about that auction.
The things I would've done with Belgium....hammer and sickle flags on every government building....change the name of Brussels to "Von Soot" with a gold statue of yours truly in the city square (all paid for by taxes)...then I'd make everyone learn a new pidjin Dutch/French language called either Frutch or Dench where my first name would mean "God".
Oh, poor Belgium, living life without me as their supreme ruler :D   :P

You mean chocolate-covered kiddies?

I'd hate to clean the drain on THAT bathtub.

Always wondered why they didnt just do away with Belgium.

Have the Flemish speaking north merge with the Dutch Netherlands, and have the French speaking south merge with France, and make both sections happier, and make both France and the Netherlands a little fatter and happier, and have one less country in the European Union to worry about.

I might be willing to trade a few of our states for it.
The problem would be getting Belgium over here and getting those few states out of here.
