In four years time the trailer trash that voted Trump will still be living in trailer parks but they can tell their grandkids they were being "patriots"

that is, if trailer parks have not been sold out from under them [growing trend].

The propaganda that anyone who isn't a left winger is deplorable trash, is what's truly scary to me. Talk about forcing an agenda.

"Anyone who's not one of us is garbage. They're worthless trash. They're Nazi's. They're [insert numerous suffixes]phobes. We're going to start a revolution. We're going to start a civil war."

Ironic. Branding a certain segment of society as deplorable trash that needs to be eliminated, was exactly the propaganda used by.....

Apparently John Stewart can see where this is going.

Yeah, I don't think we should be calling people trailer trash. It's very dehumanizing.

That's the whole point I think as a political movement. Dehumanize and vilify. Ironically one of the most prominent vilifications is to accuse them of being Nazi's. Despite or perhaps in spite of all that, 60 million voters saw past it. Most likely because it was laid on so thick. Now some political entertainers and media outlets are trying to tone things down after it's too late.

The "Make America White Again" ship sank a long time ago. Mainly, I'd like to see freedom of association restored. Ever since the 70s there's been a concerted effort to force all these different races/ethnicities to live together in the hope that they will eventually come around to loving each other, an idea rooted in the "brotherhood of man" idea of the Gilded Age. It can work on a small scale-sometimes. But generally, birds of a feather fly together. If some whites want to live in cabins in the middle of the Rockies and call it "New Europe", so what, why argue? If blacks would rather live among other blacks, fine. And so on. Late in his second term, Obama was pushing for yet another forced integration scheme, yet another idea to force the brotherhood of man via government fiat. It generally hasn't worked, except in a handful of isolated instances, such as Sacramento's North Natomas district, and there the residents generally are affluent and thus share some similarities of outlook. Forcing affluent whites and ghetto blacks to live together simply won't work.

Giving such a s**t about "culture" and how people dress is such an NT fixation. I don't understand how aspies can be cultural conservatives. "culture" isn't important. I just don't f*****g get it. People being able to earn a decent income and live comfortably is the most important thing. Not what people f*****g look like.

Trump is demonized as racist because he has a large following of alt-rightists who rant on and on about the evils of "multiculturalism" and post about "white genocide". I mean, you think people aren't aware of what goes on in the internet or don't the comment section of breitbart.com. The racists are in plain sight, and they all have a massive hard-on for Trump.

I took a look at the comment section for one of the Breitbart articles and yes you are basically right. I still think if we are going to take the moral high ground we should avoid using slurs like "trailer trash".

I could say more here but I'm trying not to say anything too controversial. (isn't it ironic how that pc thing works both ways?) It's now PC to be racist but not PC to call out racism, lol. That's why PC is not so great an idea.

I'm not freaking out about the Trump presidency. In terms of policy, I actually have a lot more to fear from the more traditional "tea party" republicans and neo-cons. The fact that Trump is playing a populist makes him more moderate in some ways.

But I can understand why so many people associate Trump with racism, even if the man himself is not directly racist. It is his followers, especially the ones who are trolls on the internet. I'm not overly PC. Once upon a time I could laugh at racist stereotypes on 4chan or ED, but when so many take it seriously it ceases to be funny or satirical.

If the extreme ends of the SJW movement and some of the more unhinged BLM protesters/rioters have poisoned the left, the crudeness and racism of the alt-right has poisoned the right.

Look at the comment sections on any pretty much any part of the internet and you'll see the same phenomena, blaming Trump or his supporters for the way people conduct themselves online anonymously doesn't make sense nor is it fair. If that's how you judge people then no wonder you have such a skewed perception; internet trolls come in every shade, shape, and size. It turns out when people comment anonymously they stop caring about the rules of political correctness that hangs constantly over their head.

I used to live in an apartment and I always wondered why trailers are socially unacceptable, but apartments are not. Trailers are generally bigger than apartments and a lot more house-like. Seems like a step up to me. :?

The alt-right is much more than a group of trolls. Plenty of them are serious racists.
