Sorry Magz. I'll attempt to keep it under control.

Self-identifies as Christian. Better?
Well ... I suppose ... since other mass murderers have also CLAIMED to be Christians, I guess he can too ...

Who is the arbiter of what is Christian and what is not?  If violence precludes the state of Christian-ness, then one would assume the Bible to be free of violence, and yet it is not.
You have a valid point, there.

This mass murder is just one of those incidents when Jesus' own Commandments seem to have been violated in the name of "Righteousness"...

In Chapter 12, Verses 29 through 31, Mark wrote:
Jesus replied, "This is the most important: 'Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.'  The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  No other commandment is greater than these."
It is just hard for me to reconcile those words with racism, sexism, and mass murder.

It's impossible. It's beautiful and that's my point. This repeated attempt to associate racism, sexism, homophobia and mass murder with Christianity is clear bigotry. So is associating a person's skin color, gender, nationality or sexual orientation with the mass murder and terrorism.

I literally proved you wrong.
Pay attention

Whether or not he is autistic should be irrelevant in that same why his skin color, gender, sexual orientation and religion should be irrelevant. We should all be offended when anyone attempts to link those irrelevant things to this heinous crime. It's infuriating.

Irony detected!

The catholics' ten commandments are different from the protestant.

http://www.beginningcatholic.com/cathol ... mmandments

"While the entire Judeo-Christian tradition uses the same Scriptural content for the Ten Commandments, their exact division and numbering varies.

The Catholic tradition uses the division of the Commandments established by St. Augustine. (The Lutheran confessions also use this numbering, while some other confessions & traditions use slightly different numberings.)

Here are the Catholic Ten Commandments:

1. I am the LORD your God. You shall worship the Lord your God and Him only shall you serve.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember to keep holy the Sabbath day.
4. Honor your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s goods."

Yes, death penalties in the Old Testament law can be interpreted as "exceptions".
Right, the wording of 'thou shall not kill' is supposedly closer to 'thou shall not unlawfully kill'. That said, not being an expert on Hebrew it's not something I can fact check myself.
If nothing else, my time at the Seminary taught me one important fact: The Bible can be interpreted to "justify" just about any immoral, unethical, or criminal act ever committed; and it often has.

This was also one of the key reasons why I left the Seminary before graduating.  The lack of scientific consistency was another.

Historical context is very important when it comes to interpreting the Bible as close as possible as to the original intent, stoning to death was the penalty practiced when and after the ten commandments.

The Jewish Torah (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy) serves as a common religious reference for Judaism. Stoning is the method of execution mentioned most frequently in the Torah. (Murder is not mentioned as an offense punishable by stoning, but it seems that a member of the victim's family was allowed to kill the murderer; see avenger of blood.)

Despite the "you should not kill" commandment, so magz was correct.

The fact that a white person went on a rampage and slaughtered innocent and defenseless non-white women in cold blood just does not fit in with the "White Is Right" and "White People Are Victims" racist narratives, does it?

Nope and is entirely irrelevant.

I'm a bit confused, the victims were prostitutes? so was this massage parlor serving "happy endings"?
I would have thought the guy may have been denied a "happy ending" therefore the shootings.

I believe you should rethink your concept of "bigoted slur" if stating facts - even if irrelevant, what if someone commented the color of his car? - about a murderer gets interpreted that way.

Why exactly would someone make a comment like “another American white male christian murderous terrorist” if it's not to smear people for their skin color, nationality, gender and religious beliefs?

Do you really believe these posters are not linking the skin color, gender and religious beliefs of the killer to these acts of murder? To them it's obviously not irrelevant. Why else would they say it over and over again?

Do you feel associated to the murderer because of his skin color, nationality, gender and religious beliefs?

Also: you definitely overuse the term "bigoted slur". From outside, it looks like trolling.

I have zero association whatsoever with this killer. Must one be of the same skin color and/or religious beliefs to defend others of the that same skin color and religious beliefs in the face of hate? Shouldn't we all stand for social justice and civil rights for all regardless of skin color and religious beliefs?

I just began reading this thread; did not know what an ‘Incel’ is.
Looked it up online; EXTREMELY upsetting!
They are starting with resentment, envy, self-hate, and intensifying it in themselves and each other!
VERY scary!
I remember one video recorded college-age man a couple of years ago who wound up killing his parents and himself because of this exact situation; obsession with women, intense aggressive approach scaring them off!

Something is desperately wrong when people are more concerned with what is being said about an admitted criminal than the crimes that criminal committed, or the victims against whom he committed those crimes.

Some people are concerned about deceptive arguments while others may use them in the name of victims.

More concerned with allegedly deceptive arguments?  The perp confessed to murdering 8 innocent people -- there is no "deception" about it (other than possibly his stated motive).  What argument could possibly succeed against his own voluntary confession of mass murder?

And why is the discussion of what words are used to describe this confessed killer more important to certain people than the cold-blooded killings he committed?

If you are referring to my post, I am saying that this ‘Incel’ idea and groups is a SOURCE of rage and from that, encouraging each other to potential violence.
They need counseling and encouragement to focus AWAY from seeing women as only sex objects.
This ‘movement’? or philosophy or viewpoint intensifies a dangerous obsession.
I believe that these tragic murders were a result of a young man who needed professional help but whose rage was encouraged.
