I think that is an overestimation.

Hmm, lets see. How many times in history has a group attacked the Capitol to over turn an election? Who plotted to kidnap a State governor? Has anyone sent poison through the US postal service to kill Democratic politicians? Can you name any militia groups that have been been connected to an anti-government movement? What is the sovereign citizen movement? Do you what a list of mass shootings in the US? Stats on hate crimes?
But what does the FBI say?
FBI chief warns violent ‘domestic terrorism’ growing in US
Quote:
In quantifying the scale of the FBI’s work, Wray said the number of domestic terrorism investigations has increased from around 1,000 when he became director in 2017 to roughly 1,400 at the end of last year to about 2,000 now. The number of arrests of white supremacists and other racially motivated extremists has almost tripled, he said.
The US has, unfortunately, a very long history of violence from the right. Right now, there is a resurgence of this violence.

The article states they want to dismantle Capitalism.
And what is wrong with that? I'm a socialist, so meh.
Capitalism rewards productivity.
Socialism rewards non-productivity.
See a problem ?

You'd be best to ask those who fled Socialist countries to reach Capitalist America:
Quote:
According to the analysis, a six-month deep dive into the messaging in various 2020 contests around the country, the socialism attack was the one that stung the most. Again, here's the report:
"The socialism attack was called out by many Members of Congress and candidates who were not successful who believe it hurt campaigns in states and districts with immigrant populations that fled socialist governments, including among Venezuelan, Cuban, Vietnamese, and Filipino voters."

It's informative to see how many people leave Socialist countries to reach Capitalist ones, yet how few of those advocating the introduction of Socialism to Capitalist countries choose to relocate to a Socialist country, despite having the means to do so... Why might that be?

An old claim. The real reason people leave these countries is not because they are socialist, its because they are authoritarian and militaristic, there was already existing poverty and lack of opportunity before socialism every set foot in these places (remember colonialism?).
Are you conveniently ignoring thousands of refugees who escape right wing military juntas since the end of WW2 or do you consider such regimes paradise on earth?

The discussion was about "socialism", so "whataboutisms" regarding other types of governments people flee are irrelevent... Please try to avoid derailing the thread.

Actually the thread is about the somewhat amusing hysteria over a claim BLM is dismantling society. I didn't see socialism mentioned anywhere.

Its the FBI who say it.
Oh, but everyone knows the FBI are the hands of the Deep State, and how they've fabricated evidence against Trump, and attacked the capitol!

Yes of course! how could I forget pizzgate. The FBI are the foot soldiers of Hillary and are responsible for trying to destabilise the orange messiah so he has no choice but to ask his good friends the Russians to help him take over America.

Let's see... We start with a thread of 6 posts:

So, yes, this thread (being a component thread\sub-thread of another, core\main thread) is indeed about Socialism, and the "whataboutism" was called out as a result.
In fact, I believe, reading the initial section which you trimmed, it was yourself who specifically enquired as to "how exactly is socialism a danger to capitalist America?", and then appeared to resort to whataboutisms when a responce was supplied - And subsequently appear to be denying any mention of Socialism in the thread, despite having made posts related to Socialism as little as 3 hours before denying it is even mentioned within that very same thread...
It's difficult to have any form of discussion with people who pretend something they posted (or a thread they participated in) doesn't exist, particularly when that which they deny exists on the same page as their denial.

Minimum wage, subsidized education, and free health care are already conditionally available.
American Socialists appear to want an array of other programs that take money from productive people, and give it to non-productive people.
For example, UBI (Universal Basic Income) a program that able-bodied people can get a free monthly income without having to do productive work.
San Francisco to pay 'essential' artists $1,000 per month basic income
