Well, this is interesting. Not sure if for or against.. depends what they do. Probably mostly against because they’re going to mess with peoples lives like they do there. But somewhat for if they gather up some of their criminals and get them out of Canada, along with their dirty money.
In the grand scheme, Canada and Canadians don’t really have a choice. Money is power and might is right - the Chinese can and do do whatever they want here. Like other things they do in Canada, they’ll just tell various levels of government the way it’s going to be and then do as they please.

I'm starting to believe the whole world already sold itself out to China...
I wish I could live long enough to see their newly rebuilt empire crumble like every other in the history of the world. For all the bad things that the US has done I get the feeling China ruling the world will be so much worse.

Your country is being occupied. Slowly, step by step.
I doubt this would be tollerated in the US, but we have a much more militant side to our culture and there are countless people here who fantasize about Red Dawn type scenarios. Canadians do have a choice if they are willing to put in the work. Just look at russian recruiting stations for an example. Tollerating CCP police stations being opened inside your own country is insane. If you think that they are only going to be focusing on their own citizens... There is a beautiful bridge that I have for sale...
Aditionally, even if they did somehow only focus on their own citizens living abroad, much of that focus would be on political repression.

Like every other country on earth who's government has sold it's citizens out to someone else, wtf exactly do you think Canadians are able to do about any of this?
These decisions have already been made by dipshit politicians and probably some foreign billionaires. Not like they put things like this to a vote and ask for our input or consent. It's a done deal.

Well, I stand corrected... According to that article, the PRC has police stations in the US. WTF?

Russians aren't voting the recruiting stations out of existence. They are engaging in direct action.

Arson? Murder?
These are crimes in Canada that no one wants to face the consequences of.

I'm not calling for anything. I'm merely stating that when a country is being occupied by a foreign power, the populous is not without recorse.

Yeah, ok then.. so your suggestion is to do what, exactly? Which action does you suggest we take?
There’s sweet F all we can do as citizens about immigration policies, foreign worker policies, foreign/immigrant investor programs, international agreements like this one etc we’re just the worker bees that pay taxes - that’s it.

Maybe Canada will recap the recent history of Iran.
The Brits invested in Iran to build oil refineries.
In the Fifties a socialist govt was elected in Iran that nationalized Britain's oil assets at the stroke of pen.
That got the Brits angry. The Brits threatened to pull out of America's war in Korea. So the US CIA overthrew the Iranian govt. and installed the Shah as its puppet ruler.
All of those soybean fields in Canada that China bought up...will get nationalized by Canada at the stroke of a pen.
This will get China angry. China will engineer a coup to overthrow the Canadian govt. And China will find some has-been member of the British Royal family (like Prince Andrew) to install as their puppet ruler of Canada. The Shah of Canada. Shah Andrew will rule for some decades. But then he will be overthrown in a revolution. But then the revolution will be hijacked by Christian Nationalists. Resulting in Canada being ruled by Protestant Fundy version of the Ayatollah!
Sounds like a fun ride you all will be in for!

Either you are purpously trying to get me to post things which cannot be posted on clearnet, or you are not able to pickup what I am putting down. Either way, there is a reason canada is still subservient to the british monarchy while the US is not and that type of mentality has a lot to do with it.

There ya go.
Short of highly illegal acts of violence, you have no suggestions of actions we ought to be taking.
Like I said, all of these decisions are made well above our pay grade and there's sweet F all we can do about any of it.
