I have just read that William Anders passed away on June 7, 2024 at the age of 90.
He was a crew member of Apollo 8, a spacecraft that flew around the Moon.
He died in a plane crash. He was flying a plane that crashed into Puget Sound.
When I first saw on the internet news that he died, I thought it was of natural causes, but it wasn't.
Rest in peace, William Anders.
