As Pride was already scheduled for June 14th in Spokane, the No Kings demonstrators ended up joining the parade. Despite Spokane's conservative self image, the whole thing got loads of cheers and support, which truly warmed my heart.

If the USA wasn't so full of crap it wouldn't have had to come to this. And WW# is starting and it's all the mericunz fault we're going to die horribly so thanks for nothing world I hate you and I always have so shove it.

Actually, though I don't think you are right, and I think there is still hope, Like I just don't think humanity gives up so quickly as some people like to think. LIke there were massive protests today against a person who puts profit above everything else and for the most part entirely peaceful...While trump was having his sad parade we were having protests all across the country and at least in Denver where I went it was sort of hard to tell if it was a protest or just an anti trump party/rally.

Like yeah america is f****d up, has a f****d up past like every other country....but as americans we are supposed to you know keep making it better. It is americas fault, but we can't just all lay down and idk die or give up...like we have to stand up for what's right and stand up for democracy.

I showed up dressed as Marilyn Monroe which got me a lot of cheers. But then I started singing "happy birthday mister president" which got me a lot of jeers.

No Kings is a nationwide protest demonstrating opposition to Trump's policies. These include the tariffs, Project 2025 (the Heritage Foundation's policy guidebook for Trump's second term), the ongoing ICE raids, persecution of the LGBTQ+ community, the bans on abortion in many states, Trump's relationship with Russia, among other things.

"No Kings" refers to Trump's desire to rule like a king or dictator.

I don't entirely agree with that, idk a lot of us probably have some relative who came over not quite legally...but whatever. They are however targeting people who didn't even come here illegally, they have arrested people going through all the steps that are on their way to get their citizenship or green card and have been intercepted and arrested by ICE. They aren't even just targeting illegal immigrants.

This isn't really about "jumpers," but about police overreach, where ICE has harassed and detained both Americans for the crime of having dark skin, and those immigrants who are going through proper channels to stay here.
It's also about executive branch overreach, when Trump had sent in the National Guard and Marines apparently to perform law enforcement activities, even when the state government of California explicitly told Trump such a move was unnecessary, and unwanted. On top of that, the Trump administration tipped it's hand and revealed how use of the military in California was actually about "liberating the state from socialists," even if those so-called socialists had been elected by the people. This is the beginning of fascism.

Other than that New Orleans cabal (that included some homosexuals) that might have led to JFK's death, I'd think you'd be pretty lonely on the far right as a gay American.

I absolutely detest socialists; America doesn't need socialist politicians. I'm anti socialist because I support the ownership of private property and I am pro-gun ownership. These people have been ruining the country. While it is lonely many left wing/socialists even back then would be considered homophobic by today's standards,
