Happy New Year to our wonderful autistic community.

2025 was a rough one for our community especially the American autistic community.

My hope is that 2026 is better then 2025 for all of you.

I don't recall qualifying my post with the word, American. Also, I never once supported Trump, and consider his fantasies of making Canada a state of the union to be insane.

1) You are responding to a post in the "News and Current Events" section of this site, which has always been one of the two sections (the other being PPR), where non-autism-related politics gets discussed. Not every section of this site is devoted exclusively to "autism support." This is not a new development.

2) Criticism of our current president, or of the history of U.S. military interventions in Latin America, does not necessarily equate to a generalized attitude of "America bad!"

3) This site is still not a "echo chamber" for any political POV. There are still people on this site with a variety of points of view. Take a look around in PPR.

4) Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions.

5) If you are who I think you are, maybe you should go back to reading Tarot cards (but without taking them too seriously)? That has always helped to calm you down, I've noticed.

This does not contain a personal attack on anyone in this forum. She was simply pointing out that people outside the U.S.A. (e.g. in Canada) have at least as much reason to fear Trump as people inside the U.S.A.
