harry Truman said "the only efficient form of government is a dictatorship." of course, he was not endorsing such for America, merely warning folks of people like trump.

The establishment has a fondness for bending over for the Chinese and Saudi dictatorships, no problem with them.

The neoconservatives want hegemony, they want to literally dominate the globe but not for America but a globalist elite that is not accountable to any nation. They took out communists in Afghanistan and got al-Qaeda, we took out Saddam and got ISIS, we took out Gaddafi and got a failed state that is being conquered by a assortment of jihadists groups including ISIS, if we had got involved in Syria we would of been handing the country to ISIS who would then be on the door step of Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Israel.

They call Trump this dictator and authoritarian but it is not him trying to subvert the will of the American people and our democratic process. The real dictators are the establishment who see themselves as the power brokers of this country, they always get their piece and they get to decide who the next president is not you. You are too stupid, you too uneducated, you even have these disgusting liars try to drag god into it so apparently they've found the holy spirit now that they are desperately trying anything to grasp to stop Trump. They are fighting so hard because they know their free lunch is over, they are no longer going to be parasites to this country and be able to suck it dry, they are going to be held accountable, and obviously that scares the s**t out of them.

How will there free lunch be over? Who will be held accountable?

Seriously, Trump is big on talk but very little on specifics. He seems to have big ideas but no plans laid out on how he will carry them out. Do you have any links to anything he has concretely laid out that he will do?

From what I hear even his campaign homepage is light on substance. I find it odd that people would even consider voting for a person who won't detail their policies.

find a candidate that details out their "policies" and then find me one from history that has followed thru with any of them verbatim.

if you like Bernie, explain how he's going to pay for all the free stuff

Trump is already negotiating, that's the whole point

How is the free lunch over? By getting a president that isn't beholden to the special interests, by holding government officials responsible for their crimes, and by purging the Republican party of all its filth. It's not Trump that isn't welcomed in the party, it's them and the sooner they realize that the better. It's a hostile takeover by Trump against the establishment, I will side with Trump. It will completely blow up the 2 party dictatorship we have ruling this country and make it easier for future non-comformist candidates to run in the future. The establishment is really hating how hard they cracked down the grassroots and by the restrictive 3rd party ballot laws, they made their bed and have to sleep in it. Some Republicans will adjust to the will of the people as most politicians do but the establishment ideologues can go vote Democrat or not vote at all for all I care. It's kind of like what Trump says to protesters at his events; "Get out, get out, get out!"

How does Democratic operatives Bill Kristol and George Will sound? We don't want them either.

Bernie is a democratic socialist. Personally I've never looked into what all that means. The republicans want you to believe that we have no money to pay for Bernie's plans by convincing everyone that socialism is a bad thing. The truth of the matter is that without socialism America wouldn't be able to run as a country at all: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/3/29 ... ed-America

Also, if free sh*t is a bad thing then maybe we should get rid of corporate welfare, see how big business likes that? We spend more money on them than we do on social services to our own people, by a large margin.

Don't take my post as a vote for Bernie. I don't have any belief that anyone is on our side as of right now, nor do I think that will change anytime soon.

For me this isn't a left vs. right issue. This is about putting someone in the white house who will actually do something good for all Americans, rather than just for the 1%. I'll vote for that candidate in a heartbeat if I can find them.

if right wing members of the 99% could be disabused of the notion that one day they'll be comfortably among the 1% then I believe they might be less inclined to turn their backs on the rest of us in the voting booth as they vote for things like corporate welfare that benefit only the 1% while screwing the rest of us.

I like Bernie, he hits on some key issues altho he disappoints me even as a progressive on others. I liked Russ Feingold much better, I liked Dennis Kucinich better, much more outspoken about civil liberties and the wars whereas Bernie is mostly a one issue guy but one can appreciate that he does not shy away from a label no one else in American politics would touch. I agree with you about corporate welfare and in my own personal opinion is that we cut the military budget in half who are the biggest welfare queens of all but nobody can get elected saying that. Bernie has some admirable ideas and you are right that we have many socialistic policies, it doesn't mean we can pay for them.

We could pay for them without the greed of big business and our wars feeding that greed. We have spent over 14 trillion dollars on two wars and the big bail out. With that money we could have easily put in a nice socialist ( :) ) single payer health care plan, put Americans to work rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure, made social security solvent for 100 years, etc., etc., etc. . Instead we wasted it making some rich people richer. Sad.

I believe Churchill said something to that effect, as well.

Truman probably heard it from Winston.

Very probably, but Harry probably put his own Missourian spin on it.

in any case, I can't wait for this year to be over, this [frankly juvenile] political @#$% is appalling, by the way the GOP candidates behave you'd think they were competing for class president of the third grade. it's embarrassing as all get out :eew:
