Eco-anarchist plot to shut down HEATHROW tomorrow: Eco-warriors' plan to bring chaos to UK's busiest airport when millions make Easter getaway is exposed as 'thousands more activists are heading to London'.

The Extinction Rebellion demonstrators are expected to start targeting the aviation industry, having already taken over London's streets and caused commuter misery.

Activists claimed they would 'raise the bar' on protests having already taken over Waterloo Bridge, Oxford Circus, Parliament Square and Marble Arch this week.

Organisers said they are prepared to escalate the group's tactics if their demands 'are not met' - with 'thousands more rebels' expected to join in the coming days.

An Extinction Rebellion spokesperson confirmed the group 'will be staging protest action at Heathrow Airport tomorrow'.

Today, Heathrow said they are 'working with the authorities' to address any threat of protests from climate change activists in London which could disrupt the airport.'

Well... just watched the BBC news headlines and nothing about it... it's mostly about the Mueller report. Maybe Jimmy M will be able to say "I told you so" tomorrow.

I've seen quite a few people innocently post links to horrible British tabloids without having any idea of their (well deserved) reputation. Usually others point that out without the... restrain yourself and Fnord showed here

The Daily Mail is actually one of the better British tabloids; I'd say the best, though I'm not a fan of any mainstream news publication.

... and Jack the Ripper was considered one of the more skillful serial killers in Victorian London.

They aren't anarchists, they're just eco-protestors and I haven't heard of any violent actions from them.

I saw a bit about the protests in general from a BBC post on facebook. Lol not sure how the BBC is regarded in the U.K but its at least better than the mainstream news channels in the U.S..its easier to get information as to what is going on here on the BBC than our national news organizations which its hard to fight through the bias to find facts.

Extinction Rebellion eco-terrorists are plotting to shut down Heathrow Airport tomorrow as millions get ready for their Easter holidays. They said they were "raising the bar" to target the busiest airport in the UK ahead of the long weekend. In internal messages seen by the Sun Online, protesters were told: "Tomorrow we raise the bar. We are going to shut down Heathrow." The group described the dramatic new tactic as an "escalation strategy".

A Metropolitan Police statement said it had "strong plans" in place to deal with any planned demonstration at Heathrow Airport. The statement said: "We are aware of information that suggests the protesters will carry out a demonstration on Friday, 19 April in the vicinity of Heathrow Airport. We have strong plans in place that will enable us to deploy a significant number of officers to Heathrow and take firm action against any protester seeking to cause disruption at this location by committing criminal offenses such as obstruction of the highway. We have requested mutual aid from other police forces to support our operation. The airport is part of our national infrastructure and we will not allow the illegal activities of protesters to cause further disruption and misery to thousands of travelers, many of them families, over Easter. We would urge any protester planning to attend Heathrow to strongly reconsider.”

So, even if there might be something in the works, the police may already have plans in place to deal with any eco-terrorists swiftly and severely.
