Doctors Issue Ominous Coronavirus Warnings About Trump Rally: 'A Setup For Disaster'

"The president is holding a rally in a hot zone. That’s how you propagate the pandemic."

https://m.huffingtonpost.ca/entry/donal ... mg00000013

Obvi this is going to be hella bad for coronavirus numbers & will spread to, and kill, people who weren’t at the rally - so, that part sucks. BUT, there’s a certain Individual One who’s going to be hosting the rally who miiiiiight get sick and die because his ego won’t let him admit science is real and he’s high risk for a covid death soooooo maybe we shouldn’t bother objecting at all and just let it happen? Like, there might be a silver lining that comes of this after all.

His clone will be attending the rally, not him.

This is somewhat off topic, but aren't rallies always really cramped? As in, there's a lot of people right next to each other? They mentioned that in the article, but does anyone know if they're taking precautions for that, or are there going to be enough people that they're just going to be breathing and coughing right on each other...

Trump would like it if they were always packed. Sometimes they’re not and he just lies and says they were - like his inauguration crowd size.

Hard to say what they’ll do. I read one article that says precautions will be taken but the campaign nor event centre have specified what that means. trump has said he doesn’t want to see empty seats/social distancing - he wants every seat full and a roaring crowd. And you have to sign a waiver absolving him and the event and location of any liability of you get covid by attending, so they acknowledge it’s real and they could be sued for it.

If they were serious about it they would take temperatures at the door, require mask wearing, and fill only every ~3rd seat. BUT they’re crazy jerks that don’t care if people die so long as trump has a crowd and gets his cheers, soooo, expect maximum stupidity.

He definitely doesn't realize that if his supporters get COVID-19 (plus spread it to other Trump supporters) and they die that's not good for him. Can't have people cheer and vote for you if in a few weeks they're on a ventilator, and so are the rest of their family plus their friends.

Lol he doesn’t care 1/10th of a s**t about any of the people’s lives at his rallies. He just wants the ego boosting attention & photo ops and maybe a few snarky sound bites for viral campaign videos. Dead commoners who he’d never have in his circle at Mar-a-Lago don’t concern him for a millisecond.

People aren't supposed to be congregating in any large numbers because of the public health crisis.

Didn’t you hear? It’s just a hoax and trump said it’ll just disappear so I guess that’s what happened to it. Corona what? See, all gone. 8)

My point is that a virus isn't political. A virus doesn't choose to infect its hosts based on which side of politics a host ascribes to. A virus is indiscriminate. Relax it/turn a blind eye to one side (ie protesters) then it has to be relaxed for another side (ie Trump rallies).

An argument that the cause of the protesters is so important that it overrides the potential detriment to public health doesn't work. Trump rally attendees clearly feel his cause is so important that it overrides the potential detriment to public health as well. I say this as a person who has never and would never go to a Trump rally.

What is so weird about it is ...that Trump is making you sign a waiver before you can attend his rallies.

He KNOWS that they are dangerous. So he is already blocking you from suing him if you get sick at his rallies.

You would hope that this is a big red flag to some supporters but I doubt it.

I agree that the virus doesn’t discriminate.

But while you wouldn’t find me out protesting in a crowd (socially distant mask wearing BLM support protests of thousands of people did happen here downtown Vancouver - but gatherings of 50+ people are still against our health minister’s orders), And while trump’s useful liar Kayleigh McEnany equated the two and says one is justification for the other, I disagree that the protests and trump rallies are equivalent. The protests are viewed as necessary by many for basic civil/human rights & to stop the systemic abuses and murders of African Americans - the other is a completely voluntary entertainment event about on par with WWE where a bunch of like minded folks want to engage in group ego masturbation. Hardly an equivalent reason to gather en masse.

How is that weird? Of course trump would lie and say things are fine blah blah blah but in writing he’ll make are people can’t sue him because he knows they’re not fine. He’s lied or made false or misleading statements more than 18,000 times since taking office. How is it weird At All that he’s lying this time? :?

Unmasked pres + unmasked crowds of MAGA people not practicing social distancing = FUN TIMES!

I guess you could say that they'd literally die for their cause.
