RIP Russiagate
He employs similar methods to those employed by dictators (or aspiring dictators).
I kinda see what you are saying but slightly disagree, while it was wrong to block particular press(not all press) for consistently lying, he is not attacking the bill of rights, that's an overstatement. This basically started during his speeches, left wing media outlets were purposely lying, not showing minorities within the crowds of people and throwing the narrative that only white supremacists are attending his speeches. That is a pretty dirty trick right?? Liberals were giving out Nazi hats or something like that, then the news channel was insisting that it was Trumps campaign people and supporters giving out the Nazi hats(not sure if it was hats exactly). That's pretty low in my opinion, and people still believe it to this day, hence people keep claiming that Trumps base are just racists.
He said "The Press is the Enemy of the People." That's a pretty broad denunciation of the "press."
We do have to watch this guy for signs that he's trying to assert extra-legal executive power. This sort of thing is very common with aspiring dictators.
Yes, other Presidents have done this sort of thing, too. But Trump is more blatant about it. And that worries me.

I think you are worrying for nothing, he did what he always does, he mentions something without the specifics within a particular sentence where within his speech he did specify, then the left takes that sentence out of context and spins it as the various things you here, Mexicans are rapists and murderers, immigrants are bad for the country, white supremacists are fine people and on and on. It should be obvious, if he actually said these things specifically, he would not have a base. Racism isn't that bad in this country, not so bad that a president can get elected by spitting supremacy speech. I know you don't do this, but many just look at white people that support Trump as stupid or racist, it's all because of how left wing media spins it. He does not talk bad about FOX as one example. And to me he is very correct, wouldn't you agree that left wing media completely lying over and over again to act as if hitler is the president and trying to divide the country in a very hateful way would be considered enemy of the people? That's what it sounds like to me, they are trying to cast us into civil war or something, simply because the person they wanted to get elected didn't get elected. Lying to the people to divide them is an attack, thus when they do this over and over, it gets pretty easy to make the claim that they are enemy of the people.
He is not going to ban the press, he had an over reaction, sure, but the press is not banned and he isn't attempting to ban press.
We do have to watch this guy for signs that he's trying to assert extra-legal executive power. This sort of thing is very common with aspiring dictators.

I think at 72 he's a bit too old to be an aspiring dictator.

You know perfectly well what I'm talking about. You just don't want to acknowledge that obamacare massively screwed over millions of people.
And you know that Trump's statement is that he wants to deliver a better plan than obamacare, as is presented here on CNN: https://www.cnn.com/videos/politics/201 ... ip-vpx.cnn
So now we have to speculate, will he or won't he.
I think he will because outdoing Obama will be more satisfying to his ego than just erasing obamacare.
And also because if he delivers on what he's talking about, it will greatly increase his chance of re-election.
Again, even if millions of people had been hurt, it was hardly intentional. Yes, the Dems had tried, and they did help millions of people. That's more than the Republicans will ever do, as not many years ago, they had wanted to limit visits to ER's by poor people to just three times. Neither they or Trump have any kind of plan, because heartlessness is a symptom of the right.

I would say republicans do us some good by preventing full blown socialism and offering a system of opportunity, one of the best systems in my opinion, where people can rise from dirt poor to rich. Republican side stands to protect freedom from government, democrat side stands for protecting people from other people. That's my basic view.
I think it's a rather weak understanding to insist either side isn't useful, or 'no good comes from it'.

The very best systems are a combination of capitalism and socialism. As the Republicans are against anything socialistic, they have only helped individuals rise to wealth, but have done nothing for the many, save to take from those who already have little.

Exactly, and that's what republicans fight for, free market and capatilism aND freedom in general, the freedom to guide your own life. Without them, the left would go wild with regulation and controlling people. There are good people on both sides and there are horrible people on both sides.
You have the bad people on both sides also, corporations lobbying for the left and the right. I'm more of an in the middle kinda guy. We need regulations and freedoms. I have ligetimate distrust for the millionaires and billionairea on the left because they claim to want to help people yet under pay them. Same goes for the right. I don't trust socialism because all it ever seems to do is protect the status of very wealthy people, same can be said for the right, which is why we need a balance to prevent from straying toO far in either direction.

Sure they helped millions by taking healthcare away from and fining millions. It's called robbing Peter to pay Paul.
How did they end up "accidentally" fining people hundreds of dollars per year because they couldn't afford obamacare?
I have a hard time believing all the fat cat elite democrat senators are any better then the rest of the elite. I think you have a bit of wool pulled over your eyes.

That's what I say, how is fining people that are already too poor helping them, it damn sure didn't help me or a lot of people I knew. If they wanted to help people, perhaps they could had not made it mandatory. That sh***y president had more of a negative impact on me personally than any other president I lived through. It's sad that I fell for all that change crap he talked about, there was change alright, change for the worse. Trump is doing way better of a job than obamination.
Hell, I'm hoping he wins in 2020, I may even vote for him. (I normally don't vote)
I actually had to pay the fine too, $1500 . It would have doubled had I not got it by the 3rd year, $3000, way to help the poor! And guess what, I eventually had the crapy insurance and couldn't afford to goto the doctor, why is that Crimadella? O yea, because I'm poor!

I knew the fines were steep, but I had no idea they were that steep. That's absolutely outrageous.
There needs to be more people who have experienced what you have in the forefront to expose this.
I'd like to see the saintly democrat politicians send you a letter of apology and a refund of the thousands of dollars they stole from you.

Then just who am I supposed to trust? The Republicans, who have proven they are believers in social the Darwinism/prosperity gospel? Or in a dirty businessman like Trump who only lives to feed his own inflated ego? While there are plenty of corrupt Democrats in congress, I still believe many others are honest about wanting to help the underdog. Guys like the mayor of Indianapolis, who speaks several languages, is a Rhode's scholar, is a concert pianist, and is 37, meaning it's unlikely he's going to croak in office, or develop dementia. Your side is just waiting to rip him apart simply because he's openly gay.

Yea. I didn't do it the first year, they let people 'slide' on the first year. Got hit with the 1500$ the second year and learned that it would double on the third year so I had to get it. Thankfully I made a job change though, health insurance was somewhat free, I was a city employee. I still couldn't go to the doctor though, poor people can't afford to take off of work, we need the hours, that and my boss was an a**hole anyway. I finally had no option but to goto the doctor because all my phobias got so bad, and my stomach and neck. The insurance didn't cover much either, which made it even more useless. The only thing is was good for was standard doctor visits. I had to have MRI of my neck, 3 pinched nerves, two bulging dics and degeneration. I had to pay for most of the MRI, I had a lot of tests done before that which finally covered my deductible, the best I can remeber it was between 1200 and 2000 before they would actually cover anything outside of regular doctor visits. Then they were horrible on medication, they wanted to put me on some v word medication for add, I got a on month free coupon from the doctor, it worked really good and I was improving, then for my refill, the med was 340 and they would only pay 40 bucks of it so I had to switch to Adderall which wasn't any wear near as good. The next year, I had been having chronic gastritis and they couldn't figure out why, so I got sent to a gastrologist , they cover a good bit of the visits, 200 dollar visit and I just paid like 40. But they had to put a cam down my throat and do a biopsy, it's actually 3 itis condictions, esophagitis, gastritis and something else. They found nothing except inflammation and the walls of everything was really bright red and irratated . That cost me $2800 and they paid nothing, and I didn't even get an answer of why. That broke me, so I've just had to deal with it and I still got it. It's been getting worse, I've had gastritis and the others for 4 years now and it never goes away. Some days it hurts less, but some days it's so bad I can hardly take it. It's been really bad the last few days. My neck is getting worse too, I have a lot of issues with my neck, upper back and lower back and left hip. I got a partial diagnosis for EDS, musculoskeletal hypermobility kind, I was supposed to go to a neck and back doctor but I don't have the money to do that either. Now everything in combination has left me unable to work. My brother is trying to help me get on SSI now though, because my mom didn't have the time and she has it pretty rough too. I got an appointment next Friday at the SS office. I can't wait to get some meds to help with the pain, sadly the whole war on chronic pain patients is going to screw me over on that also. It makes me really hate my life, I feel I want get any relief until I die.

Trump is going to try to do the best he can because of his ego, he wishes to go down as the best possible president as he can so his fame will last. Plus he want to definitely out do his nemesis, oboma. He want to be remembered as a good president, that's what is going to motivate him to do the best that he thinks he can do. I think he is doing a pretty good job. I would change some things, but everyone has their own ideas for what would help us, I think his nationalism qualities are a benifit because he wants the country to be strong and actually export some things rather than draining the economy by doing mostly imports. He dropped taxes on the rich to bring companies back to the US and from what I've seen it is helping. He also help companies out and small business, buy American hire American deal is preventing some of the disaster of China dumping cheap steel in our country cause our steel companies to go out of business, I say that's really good, others don't see it, they think free market means we should free market ourselves out of a nation, that's what happens when your imports greatly exceed your exports. That's what happens when you try to fairly compete with a country in the free market which pushes slave labor, our companies can't push slave wages like China, so they can easily put our companies out of business.

If bringing companies back to America were to be done by lowering their taxes, then there should be strings attached, that if they don't come back and hire Americans with good wages and benefits, then they have to pay the tax cut back with interest.
Trump wants to overshadow Obama, but he doesn't have the brains, the ability, or the honesty.
