^A massive part of the problem is the culture of greed amongst American medical doctors. They’re all aiming for $400K/yr+ instead of aiming to provide quality care to their patients in exchange for fair compensation & a very comfortable life. They (almost) all want to get filthy rich & are willing to watch people die rather than help them to do it. Disgusting, IMO.
That's gone out of fashion in the US, since the traveling doctors who took chickens as payment. And that is the culture of the US, we have never lied about that. People should be cursing their parents if they don't like it, not the country. We are simply doing what we have always done.
They are not interested in 'fair' compensation. They have student loan debts to pay. They are interested in the most amount of money to live well and pay off student loan debt. Now, I'm anticipating that you'll go off the rails on how education should be free. Well, it's not here.
They could repay their student loans and live a very good life on $250k/yr instead of $400k. It would also allow them to better uphold the oath they swore to do no harm.
