Selling away your shares is so much easier than leaving a country.
Diversifying your investments is a good practice but not many people have multiple citizenships - some countries even outwardly ban it.
In a poorly managed company, shareholders don't get money. In a poorly managed country, people die.

You see, I see a lot of important differences there. President of a country is not a CEO to give their citizens profits proportional to support received. That's how shareholding works but when you apply it to politics, you get the essence of corruption.

That would depend on how you choose to define "profits" and "support received" (as you put it)...

Also remember that the "CEO" is responsible to the "shareholders" (citizens) through a "board of directors" (Electoral college), meaning that the "support received" is dependant on the "profits", not the other way around.

I don't recall seeing any indication (prior to this year) of conditions in the USA being too bad overall, and I seem to recall there was an issue early on where there were too many potential shareholders trying to get a part of the "company".

Either way, it will be interesting to see what the platforms both parties run on with regards to supporting the lower classes this time around - the Democrats seem to have locked in the 1% already.

Honestly, I didn't pay much attention to US politics before - not my backyard. I just noticed growth of unhealthy polarisation, just like in my country, by the way. Some deeply rooted, long term social crisis, going on and getting worse, in both societes. Dividing the nation in two and the leaders calling "their" half for victory over "the other" half they present as pure evil.
Very worrying.

As someone put it just cause they were bullied in school doesn’t give them right to bully others here.

Did you work your middle school experiences in some therapy? I've had very bad memories from that age, too. Took me years to clean them up and leave them behind.

Yes, I also feel WP is politically slanted, even if I fit within this slant quite well.
However, the topic is not about WP rules but about US law.

Are people attacking You, or the things you think & believe, and your political ideologies? :chin:

Perhaps you’re taking criticism of your beliefs as personal attacks and need to learn to differentiate between the two.

Trump is just a business guy who wants to be the CEO of the USA.

I think it pinpoints an issue.
A democratic country is run by different rules than a business corporation and Mr T does not seem to notice it.
The purpose of a business company is to make profits (hopefully by adressing some market need). The purpose of a country government is to create and keep acceptable environment for the citizens to go with their huge variety of activities.
Like, you don't fire people from a nation. "My way or highway" can be acceptable in a company but not in a modern country. Levels of acceptable risk-taking differ enormously between a business company and a nation, too. Risking your own money vs risking lives of other people makes quite a difference.

He hasn’t done anything obama or past presidents hasn’t done. They set the standards. We even told Obama supports we’ll wait until the next Republican president comes and uses the same tactics and see how you feel. And thst is happening now.

Obama was more into diplomacy than Trump. He sought to cooperate with other nations as friends, rather than as “business rivals” He understood the concept of a nation of people better than Trump does.

Well, he's been called fkkkng ignorant, a dog with fleas, a dangerous infection, and a racist killer.

People have said others should quarantine from him.

I'd take that personally myself.

You mean he sought to surrender us to him we were weak under him and he expanded illegal presidential powers.
We can’t be friends with China it’s naive to think otherwise. They only slightly less worse then North Korea.

Did Obama ever say ANYTHING even resembling the word "surrender"?

I don't remember that at all sly. You're characterizing the situation exactly the way you were told to.

The Chinese philosophy in terms of international relations is nicely summarised by Mao Tse Tung - A enemy of my enemy is my friend. If you are wondering what Chinese people's attitude are toward non-Chinese then I recommend reading Sun Tzu's Art of War.

Relationships are literally transactional.

Did Obama repetitively go on Twitter calling for more violence? I can't recall.
Did Obama dismiss scientific reports just to "stand up against the educated"? I can't recall.

Probably a thorough examination of the US history would reveal a lot of nasty things done by past presidents. Does it mean it's okay to repeat them now?

These words were clearly against WP rules and I hope the posts containing them were reported and taken care of.

In an ideal world, I'm sure they would...

Having received a racist remark aimed at me to (theoretically) "silence" me, or devalue my opinion, by someone who is rather vocal in calling out racism (hence my belief it could not have been accidental), with the only outcome being a moderator editing their post (no appology\remorse from poster, who is still on the site), and no responce (even though requested) as a result of reporting the post, I'd suggest not holding your breath there, sadly.

I'm not going to give names or point out post/thread (thankfully I still have screen-shots, pre moderator edit), and will still interact with this person, but it does lead me to question how "disgusted" they could truely be with behaviour they willingly reproduce.

On a related note, I'm surprised that people are allowed to (not so subtly) make comments intended to infer a group of people are all associated with a certain German group from the 1930's-1940's, purely because they do not adhere to the poster(s) beliefs.
