What was Chauvin's motive and intention though? Did he want to murder him on camera, or did he just want him to suffer only?

They didn't like each other, he had the opportunity to do it and he'd get to show-off for his trainees because he's an awkward guy that no one really likes very much and he thought he'd get away with it. The moment the pieces fell into place Chauvin thought he could do it and get away with it. I'd go 1st degree and I'd win.

Seeing as you seem to have information (or legal knowledge) available to you that the prosecutors who didn't charge to that level apparently lack, maybe you should have a word with them and provide them the information they would need for that charge...

Or would you charge that high, knowing that by overcharging, he'd get off "not guilty"?

Possibly a panic attack set off by the pain/pressure applied by Chauvin.

Yes...That's what it was...Starting BEFORE Mr Chauvin was there.

For those interested in the actual events, however, rather than someone's delusions which demonstrate what they wished to have occurred:

If you take the time to watch the bodycam footage, Mr Floyd's panic appears to start when initially arrested, demonstrated in his inability\unwillingness to follow simple directions from the arresting officers. His "claustrophobia" is first mentioned as soon as he is informed that he will be put into the back of the police vehicle.

Mr Chauvin only assists from around the point where the arresting officers are experiencing issues getting Mr Floyd into the car.

It also shows how Mr Floyd exits the car as well: The officers are unable to get him in from one side (pushing him in), and so one opens the other side to try and help drag him in. Mr Floyd uses this as an opportunity to push with his foot and propel himself across the seat and out the other side past the officer (from around 9:30 - 10:00 in the footage at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8614589/First-length-bodycam-footage-shows-George-Floyds-harrowing-final-moments-brutal-arrest.html )

as though that made the murder which followed any more justified.

Actually, looking at the bodycam footage, they didn't remove him from the vehicle...

From around 9:30 - 10:00 in the bodycam footage at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8614589/First-length-bodycam-footage-shows-George-Floyds-harrowing-final-moments-brutal-arrest.html you can see the officers trying to push him into the back of the car, which he is resisting. One of the officers has opened the door on the other side to try and help drag him in, and he uses his foot to propel himself across the seat and out the other side.

He then asks to be allowed to lie on the ground, which the officers allow, using a restraint method which they had been instructed to use.

The pressure on his neck also appears to have been minimal, given that (as I recall) no bruising\tissue damage (which would have been expected were he choked) was found in either autopsy. The knee appears to be "resting" against him, with no weight\pressure applied, but with the ability to apply pressure (and subsequent tissue damage\bruising) should he have tried to move from the position.

Choking him (besides leaving tissue damage\bruising) would have affected his ability to speak (exhaling) to the same degree it would have affected inhalation, and his voice does not appear to provide any indication of this. Other possible reasons for his inability to breathe may have been pressure on his back causing problems with his diaphram (preventing breathing\restricting lung capacity\expansion), or the effect of the drugs (which were found to be at a fatal level in his bloodstream) coupled with the stress\anxiety involved in his arrest.

Well I can't make out hardly anything he is saying in the video, but if he asks to be lied down and they oblige, why would they oblige?

Wouldn't the proper police procedure be to get him in the car, since that is what they were already doing? Wouldn't they say to him, after he requests to lie down "That's not how this works, you're going in the car"?

Probably to give him a chance to calm down before trying again, rather than while he was still agitated...

Oh okay. But in the video, he is alread lying on the ground super still, before Chauvin comes over to put his knee on his neck. So isn't Chauvin being exccessive if Floyd had already calmed down and was being still then?

I mean the reason why he wasn't kept in the police vehicle was because he became claustrophobic. Or so I heard.

My stating that I heard that George Floyd had an attack of claustrophobia while in the police vehicle, does not mean I lack of compassion. Or that I am a racist which you implied.

Your judgementalism is repugnant.

My stating that I heard that George Floyd had an attack of claustrophobia while in the police vehicle, has nothing to do with me having a lack of compassion. Or that I am a racist which you implied.

He claimed to be suffering from clautrophobia as soon as it was indicated he would need to get into the back of the police vehicle, and struggled with the officers who were trying to get him to enter the vehicle, if you have a look at the bodycam video of the event.

I think bric already provided the reason that Floyd made that objection which lead to him being subjected to subsequent knee on the neck to subdue him while they placed cuffs.

Claustrophobia is a real condition but of course Floyd might have been bluffing? I might have called for a wagon to collect him if that was a real issue which had more space.
