Well folks ....in a population of 25 million Australia has had a total of 70 deaths...many of these are older cruise ship travellers

We are getting close to a negative/zero death rate and all managed using social distancing. The government is promising to ease restrictions within a few weeks. and nobody in this country wears facemasks

for those on WP who spent hours of their time sewing cloth facemasks to save themselves from COVID-19 please take note and learn something,

Harris County (the county Houston is in) just mandated wearing facial coverings in public for the next 30 days, starting this Monday.

Penalties include a $1,000 fine and possible jail time.

I think law enforcement is trying to compensate for revenue lost from people not being on the streets, and thus very few traffic violations. Plus they’ll do anything to oppress and demean people of color.

It's because police are more likely to arrest people of color for literally anything, and they get longer sentences and once out, they find it more difficult to get a pardon (and thus, get their voting rights back) than whites.

I suggest googling "John Ehrlichman memo" for an example regarding the War on Drugs. There's also a book called "The New Jim Crow" by Michelle Alexander that describes the situation with minorities and law enforcement.

ah I see
white people will only get a slap on their wrist for no mask
black people will be fined and go to jail for wearing a mask in an aggressive fashion

I’m seeing lots of places now that require you to wear a mask. Some local businesses and even entire counties.

I can’t stand having things touching my face and it completely freaks me out, I think if I had to leave the house and wear a mask for an extended period I’d wind up melting down... are there any types of masks that don’t really rub against your face? If that makes any sense anyway... :?

I have asthma.  Wearing an N95 mask outside the home or office actually helps me breathe better.  On days when I wear a filter mask, I do not have to use my inhaler.
