I didn't say you did, I was talking about Rogan. And that's fine. We are all entitled to our opinions. It's really a side issue to my central point, though.

I never said that you did, but you admitted you've never even listened to a full episode of a show with thousands of episodes, making your opinion of said show objectively ignorant. I'm not a regular Rogan listener, I only tune in when he has a guest I'm interested in on, but even that makes me far more informed than you with regard to the show and its host, yet you continue to insist that you know better, like person who read a review of a book lecturing someone who actually read the book.

That's all well and good, but you signed a petition to take down Rogan's show, so this isn't just about what you like and what sources you prefer to use, it's about you attempting to enforce your preferences on others. Don't like Rogan? Fine, don't listen, but you've gone beyond that and both lied about him and lent your voice to an attempt to deplatform his show, which you've never even listened to. Not to put too fine a point on it, but this attitude is a major cause of what ails this country, it's not enough to have your own preferences, but you need to impose them on everyone else as well.

Do you really think that listening to the occasional podcast is mutually exclusive with reading? Have you failed to notice that I'm a politics junkie who constantly posts lengthy articles from a huge variety of sources across the ideological spectrum? I spend hours every day reading, the podcasts are something I put on while I do something else, it's not like I'm just laying around listening to Rogan all day.

If you're going to try and insult me, at least take the time to pick a fault of mine that isn't comically false, this just makes it look like you can't comprehend that someone might enjoy multiple forms of media.

And you could also lay-off insulting me.

It has been enlightening throughout discussions over this topic (here and on other sites) to see the types of people who prefer the use of "force", rather than reason, when they come across something which they do not agree with...

I'm not personally a fan of the authoritarian\dictatorial approach (or of those who take it), preferring to hear (and\or to allow others to hear) all sides of a discussion (whether or not I agree with them), but it seems that this particular incident has brought a number of closet dictators out into the open, trying to censor what they don't like.

Have I insulted you? I've pointed out that you don't know what you're talking about, which a lot of people don't enjoy, and I've expressed disapproval at your choices, but again I don't think any of that qualifies as an insult.



Why would you suggest I'm trying to censor you? I'm censuring you for contributing to an effort to censor someone else, I don't have any power to silence you even if I wanted to.

Such as? Rogan is a comic, he says edgy things for comedic effect, show me him actually being racist and not just using a taboo word or crass phrase. He has people of all races and genders on his show and none of them seem to have a problem with him (his recent show with Snoop Dogg was hilarious), do you know something they don't?



You've repeatedly called him a racist and a homophobe, neither of which is true, and as mentioned, you're certain enough in your expertise to sign a petition against him.

You wish to deprive other people of the ability to listen to an entertainer you disapprove of on the platform of their choice, the fact that you're doing it as part of a group doesn't change the nature of what you're doing.



I read the petition, it doesn't give any specifics, it just calls him a white supremacist, which is laughable on its face, and an anti vaxxer, which is more debatable but I'd argue still untrue, as he does not dismiss vaccines across the board, he's just skeptical of this particular one and the mandates forcing it on people. If you're referring to that DailyKos article you linked (I really hope that isn't what you consider a credible source), the worst they could come up with is some ancient 22 second clip of him telling a story about going to see a movie in a bad neighborhood. Forgive me, but I require a whole lot more than that to brand someone a bigot, especially someone as well documented as Rogan, with tens of thousands of hours on camera available and that's the worst they could find.



You don't actually know what that word means, do you? It just means to express strong disapproval, anyone can do it, not just congress or the Pope.
