Many males want a female AI for completely different reasons

Well, I did earn a Ph.D. in synthetic chemistry, so that does define me as Dr. QC. I have not been called Mr. in a very long time now. You might not have known so I do not take offense to that.

As for the physical stealing of information from me, good luck. There are three others who would take my place as they want the same goal. Losing me would slow them down, but not stop them. They know where to look if they want notes on a few of my projects. It is hidden in plain sight if you know how to read them. If I did not trust them like I do, they would not have access to those files. I wanted them to be able to continue with the process if my heart failed before I could get things done. While I am an idea man for them, I am ultimately expendable.

If you want to beat my AI project, it is simple. All you have to do is to study the right part of science hard enough to find the solution. It does exist there.

Whatta fun :jester: field of Research Herr Doktor( Doctor) Quantum, Hmm... as my thoughts race>>>,Firstly must Congradulate You on getting your Doctorate ! :salut: :salut: . But after reading your posts periodically.
Seems likely :| your Doctorate , was possibly on Taking over the World by innovative chemical processes? :chin: :
But my pokes at your developing chemical recall for AI scaled devises. I do hope you are aware that my pokes
at your part,of that field of work are strictly done in fun..? And i do hope that my cynical brand of Thread posting, is taken in the spirit it is meant  Especially regarding this AI field .
But being raised in the times of the first terminator movie, .I make all kinds of take offs from that film.
And add alittle bit of my own learnings can hopefully be made to create a smile on some readers faces.
Then you base alittle bits of Info. and concepts into the threads that can fringe on sci-fi , blend and mix well , and you have a real life company now actually named skynet..the skys the limit. On ideas and concepts into a thread. 8)

Thank you. It may not seem like I am serious on the technologies and materials I mentioned above, but I actually am working on them (a bit slower than I would like to). Many modern creations started as sci-fi concepts at one point in time. I have always been an inventor at heart and can see what AI could become. Unfortunately my heart will likely give out on me before I can see it in all it’s splendor. If you want to know an example of why I do not trust humanity, see my side note below (warning about a possible trigger though).

Warning: possible trigger below (dissection)

Side note: As sad as it seems, I have had actual people (classmates) who wanted to dissect me in a biology lab after school. No joke, they wanted me dead in jars on shelves. I still have some of the scars. Of course they did not get there way or I would not be typing this right now. It is not a fond memory for me to remember. It is one I would love to be able to forget.

Apologies for any triggers that my posts may have incurred upon you based on your previous experiences, was NOT my intent ! . :| .
Thank you for sharing some of your projects you are working on , at whatever pace you are doing so.
Had been under the impression that bubble memory was also based on Chemistry? but must admit my familiarity with that type of memory is extremely limited . Please do not become dead at any time if you can help it !
Inventor minds are not near as common they could be ,And need to be propagated in my humble opinion.
Have a great respect for those types, And am abit of a sponge at times for more advanced info......
brought on by a self taught Electrical engineer running his own shop as early as the beginning of the 1950s.My Dad,
During 40s was commandeered to work for Locheed on unspoken projects As part of the War effort . Including the then to be the current drone program. And the Early P-38 twin engine fighter. Before the Skunk works were developed . 1930s saw him as one of the only field service or otherwise. For older home , tube type ,radios to make a good living in the Southern Calif area. Establishing his shop in the 1950s and early inventions of various kinds adopted by the city ofBurbank for the communication systems for their fire dept. And some low level early devises used in emergency highway lighting as a backstop for ongoing cash flow . Doing ongoing production for these same devises. At the time there was little competition for him in these fields. Then through his brother , Working as head of Disney Audio dept.
Walt D. then approached him sometime in aporox 1956 to help in developing ride effects at the upcoming building of Disneyland opening in 1958 . Particularily the Pirates of the Carribean ride . Animatronics and light and sound installations. Before there was imagineers , there was business like my fathers that sub contracted out.
Went to work for him in the late 60s, very young . Learned electronics assembly...and etc..etc.Loved to create stuff.
But mainly low voltage cause that is what I was raised on, and had a heathly respect for 60 cycle stuffs ability to electrocuete a person if not careful .Business eventually closed in 1988, after his passing, Not before Disney et.al.
came back to him to recreate the Disney Worlds extremely high voltage Neon beacon on the front car of that mono rail, just as he did for the one in Disneyland, He passed in 1986 ,Closed At the request of my Mother in 1988.

So just wanted to express that I get the inventor mindset. :ninja:  One hopes that perhaps someday you might be able to put those previous experiences with your labmates behind you .

Thank you for the kind comments. I try to forget certain things, but it is hard to do.

Just think ..possibly a person could be confronts by an electronic self propelled patrol dawg.. speaking in English with inflection and nuances demanding to see your ID, and would be connected to the giant AI in the sky.
Operating with full authority of the great AI in the sky . Hmm.. wonders if a AI dawg could go Rabid ?
" Oh Mommy ,, Look what followed me home ,, Can we keep him..? Mommy it talks too."

They made a film that was basically about that. A huge robot dog, linked to a satellite and he escaped from the laboratory and made friends with a teenage boy and his girlfriend. And of course there was lots of shenanigans with scientists and teenage gangs. I think it was called AXL.

Nonsense. We have at least 6 years! JK

Seriously. I think of language models such as ChatGPT in the same way I think of context aware fill in Photoshop.

Just a case of monkey see, monkey do, without understanding.

That doesn't mean I don't think it's useful. Nowadays I direct a lot of my questions about the world to ChatGPT not because I think ChatGPT is smart enough to figure out the answer but because chances are it's databanks include the answer.

The real credit goes to whoever wrote the document that ChatGPT is referring to when it answers my question.

Even so, I still think ChatGPT is useful because it has access to that database and can scan through it very quickly.

It's better than Google because Google has a frustrating habit of mostly finding things that are unrelated to your query but have one or two of the same keywords.

Google will have to integrate Bard into its search engine or Googling will become obsolete.

Actually that's a good point. We probably will still have bureaucratic AIs.

Forget Skynet. That's the real Doomsday scenario. If computers kill us all it will be because of incompetence, rather than malevolence.

It is a mistake to give authority to machines that literally don't know what they're doing.

It would be a comedy of course.

There's a short story about that called Autofac by Philip K. Dick.
