That is no coincidence.

Then, how do you explain the use of suicide attacks that are grounded in other cultures, such as the Tamil and Sinhalese conflict? What of historical suicide attacks, such as the assassination of Alexander II, or the
Kamikaze? I certainly don't deny that the majority of suicide attacks are perpetrated by
jihadin but to suggest that this is linked to sexual repression is a leap of logic that I am not prepared to support.
As for the appeal of martyrdom, the Christian churches, and in particular the Roman Catholic church have been no less enthusiastic than islam in the glorification of martyrs. The canonization fast-track for martyrs surely suggests a Roman Catholic belief that those who die in the defence of the faith are in the short queue for admission to heaven.
So perhaps your observations should rest less on the religious belief of the particular suicide attackers that you focus on, and rather upon the more general appeal of martyrdom for those who believe themselves to be oppressed, and lack access to the education and resources to bring their people out of that oppression.
