Yeah I've taken martial arts, and I can believe it's lethal to kneel on the neck if you do it long and hard enough for sure. But it was said before that the pathologist did not find any evidence on the neck so I don't know how this is going to play out in court now.

I think all the protests and rioting and those who died during all that probably would not have taken place if Chauvin had just held him down normally.

And if Chauvin isn't convicted, there will probably be more mass rioting.

just like with rodney king [RIP] there is a high chance a relatively pale jury will come back with an NG, and the POC will tear that place apart, and the only hope of justice will be federal charges and/or a civil suit.

But why would a jury return with a NG, when they know the rioting is just going to get worse? Wouldn't a jury just turn in a guilty verdict to calm the country down and avoid drama, since that is more important?

True, but aren't the riots much bigger this time compared to then, or no?

Well I am just saying perhaps Chauvin facing a few years in prison is worth it for the violent rioting to de-escalate, isn't it?

It was a pity George was stoned.
I doubt he would have had the panic attack, if he wasn't.

Erm, no.
"Justice" *may* work that way, but it shouldn't. 8)

If they are guilty, when all the evidence is in, they should pay.
If they are not guilty, when all the evidence is in, they should not pay.

Justice is supposed to be blind. 8)

entire communities feel a long-term feel [and for good reason], that "justice" is blind to THEM.
