Sorry, but the death of someone, no matter how misguided, is not a punchline.

Trump is out of his tree.
I think a lot of Republicans are happy to have a good excuse to drop this fool.

Also, anyone with half a brain could see Trump was bad news. His supporters....even worse.

Partisanship. Really?
You did say a lot of Trump supporters are dropping him like a hot potato.
Talk about Trump making a politically bad move.

Any of the "centrists" and "moderates" who have tried to defend his nonsense, and repeat the mantra, "both sides are equally bad" should be feeling pretty embarrassed right now. Do you want fascism? Because this is how you get fascism.

So, now you are lashing out at people who want to be rational, reasonable and non-partisan?
"My way or the highway"?
I don't think so, Tim. 8)

Your reasoning is erroneous.
Republicans are turning on Trump, and rightly so. 8)
There is no "binary" here.

you're projecting your own emotionalism onto Xfiles, who just stating the rational obvious.

How so?

I'm an Australian, not an American.
I have an emotional distance from American politics, which I have displayed for years, that Amerikans understandably don't.

"Evidence".
Show me where I am thinking illogically.

naturalplastic wrote:
Rational and reasonable does not necessarily equal nonpartisan.

It usually does.
But I will amend.
Rational, reasonable *and* objective.

naturalplastic wrote:
If you really were rational reasonable and nonpartisan you have seen Trump as grifting snake he is from the get go back in 2016.

If *you* were rational, you wouldn't be using emotive terminology.

naturalplastic wrote:
Notice that Xfiles put "moderate" into quotes. Because that not what the said folks really were anyway. They partisan supporters of Trump, or his dupes.

XFG was attacking anyone who had a non-partisan view, also.
I find this odd.

So she was not doing (what you actually ARE doing) which is "lashing out" at folks "who wanna be rational".

I am not lashing out at anyone.
I am being rational, reasonable, objective, and incorporating new information as it comes my way.
I.E. The usual. 8)

From Twitter:

Quote:
Matt Gaetz is on the House floor now blaming antifa for the riots on the Capitol, to applause. Just in case there was question about today fundamentally changing things for House Republicans.

Matt Gaetz is a Florida representative, FYI.

Thanks.
Gaetz is a little weasel and more-than-probable closet case.

The usual disinformation that both sides use.

Not really.

It's not usual for either "side", nor for any American faction to use that kind of disinformation.

Thank you. That's absolutely correct.

Just wait and see: the right will try to equate this woman's death with Heather Heyer's murder at Charlottesville.

I am guessing she is one of those who punched their way through the whitehouse windows and get her head bliown off by the security guards doing their job (well done)

Her identity also puts to rest the Antifa lie being spread by some members of the GOP

I don't jump to conclusions.
Did you personally see what happened?
Was she armed?
In what circumstance is it justified to "get her head bliown off by the security guards doing their job (well done)"?

To me, it seems like a gross over-reaction, but I prefer to wait until all the facts are in before I make my own considered opinion.
I think we have had this discussion several times.

Security guard probably thought he was fighting the MAGA zombie apocalypse. He should be commended.

It will only be correct when it is actually done.
Has it been done, yet?

Not sure if you saw the photo of armed guards protecting the whitehouse with loaded weapons. If she was part of the mob breaking whoitehouse windows then she would have expected to get her brains blown.

From the BBC:

Quote:
DC Mayor Bowser and police chief Robert Contee just held a presser about the Capitol Hill protest.

They said the woman who was shot was part of a group of multiple individuals that forced entry into the House room that was still in session.

They were confronted by plainclothes officers, and an officer pulled out a weapon and fired it.

The woman was taken to hospital and proclaimed dead. Her ID is being withheld by authorities until next of kin are notified.

Define "trolling".
Do you mean I "troll" because I have a different opinion?
Do you mean I "troll" because I am not partisan?
Do you mean I "troll" because I have emotional discipline?
Do you mean I "troll" because I have a logical, rather than an emotionalistic argument?

BTW, Isn't being called a "troll" a personal attack?

It's official. The entire "United" States has gone completely insane. It's their own grave they're digging, so have with that.
