I don't think it is fair that only he was charged as both of them consented and both were too young to do so according to law. Either they both should have been, or under common sense, neither of them should have been, they just should have been grounded and thier parents reprimanded for being idiots.

This seams to be the best solution yet.

I agree with that.

Precisely. I hate how cases of consentual statutory rape only leave the male punished.

Of course. It shouldn't matter what gender people are.

A case exactly like this, even same ages, occurred in South Florida years ago, when ex-Attorney-General Janet Reno was the Federal Prosecuter there. She announced that she was going to charge the boy with rape and the girl with lewd & lascivious conduct. The public outcry at her descision caused her to change her mind within two weeks.

May God protect us from the Puritans!

Well...at least both of them would end up on the sex offenders list...not just the boy.

Kind regards,
Chris

I know that, but what does that possibly have to do with raping people?

Is that against Puritan standards?

What does raping people possibly have to do with a 12-year-old and a 10-year-old fooling around with each other?

Oh, I know, raping has nothing to do with age at all.

I knew sex was against Puritan standards. I just didn't know that was what you were implying.

It frosts my balls that the Government twists the meaning of the word "rape". They call something like this "statutory rape", then drop the word "statutory", and all of a sudden this 12-year-old boy is labelled a "rapist." The word "rape" should only apply to cases of forced sex. "Statutory rape" should be renamed to something completely different.

As a 13 year old (I am a girl but that doesn’t matter) I find that there was probably a purpose for him doing such an act. If he dose have AS or some thing similar then there would have been allot more complex emotions he would have been feeling there may have also effected his source of reasoning. There must have been something the female said that may have influenced his decision.

If the boy was lying about AS then it would all make sense to make his argument for doing so more convincing in doing so? I am mostly interested in the psychological reasoning behind his motivation to do such a f****d up act.
