The FDA is such a joke. I find the labeling thing rather disturbing. Monsanto has been trying for years to make it illegal for farmers to label their milk as not containing rBST because of the enormous popularity of the rBST-free milk. They almost succeeded here in PA, but the governor overturned the decision.

The original reasoning for genetically modifying the corn was to make the corn resistant to Round-Up. Corn sprayed with herbicide and still growing strong sounds delicious - let's eat!
