I was surprised it made Yahoo and CNN news online.

Sure, it is odd but it is far more likely to be a hearing aid than a time traveler. Plus, why travel then and there?

Also, if it was something like a cell phone then all the other people surrounding the "time traveler" surely they would have stared at her. They did not even give her a passing glance. That immediately makes me suspect she was using a common, everyday device.

Those look like cellphones, how did they fit in your ears?

they were too large back in the day and held up to the ear as needed to amplify the sound, not in the ear as we are accustomed to.

That's probably it.

Rule out the plausible before accepting the impossible.

Most movies were filmed on sets and not location back then. They had a limited number of extras, so sometimes familar faces were used repeatedly including the stars. May have been just covering her face with a prop to prevent identification. I am more curious in why the laser canon that is reflecting in one of windows is doing there. Evidence of early alien propaganda films being used to control the masses?

Obviously a hoax. I can't believe they featured this crap on the news.

Well, it look a bit too bulky to be a cell phone. Its probably an inter-dimensional communicator. lol

maybe it was of those primitive antique walkmans with a tiny 78 rpm record and player/horn in the receiver.

...good find and reveals something most people wouldn't have known about from the era.

Honestly, the fact that this story made CNN and has proliferated on the internet is a testament to the demise of quality news in this country and the "stupidification" of people in general.

The person in the video is using the brim of their hat or collar of their jacket to hide their identity.

I completely agree. I hate watching even my local news, because too many times the Virgin Mary dripping tears from her eyes or someone's toast looks like Jesus makes news! Gimmie a break!

It was me. I traveled back in time to talk to myself.
