And research what? That our president is the Anti-Christ, involved in a conspiracy of labor unions and Islamic radicals to bring about a world wide caliphate? No amount of legitimate and sane research is going to confirm that. And besides, this idea of the coming Armageddon, the Anti-Christ, the rapture, and the whole Millennial shebang is not accepted by the majority of Christians, but has become the central focus of evangelicals and fundamentalists, who are really just a marginal religious minority - but make much more noise, and wield far more political influence than their actual numbers justify. Just because some religious nut who thinks he's an end time prophet just because he appears on Glenn Beck doesn't make it so.

Beck did not say Obama is the Antichrist, I seriously would like to see you source your claim and odds are, I can probably debunk your source right off the bat.

Actually, in regard to Obama as Anti-Christ, I was thinking more of Beck's delusional guest who had earlier written an article on how Obama had much in common with the Anti-Christ. And that is in fact verifiable.
But even still, Beck's ideas of the end times and the Anti-Christ are hardly mainstream, which he seems to be claiming that he represents.

If you bothered to read what I posted, you would know that Beck was referring to the current leadership of Iran that even the guy that took over Iran around 1979 thought this group was insane, they are that nuts over there. While you want to quote Beck out of context to make him look crazy, if you actually had bothered to check the context you would find what Beck said was completely rational and was backed up.

Again, I don't believe in the Anti-Christ, other than as a reference to the Roman Emperor Nero, who had persecuted the early church in the 1st century. The idiots in Iran are the Islamic equivalent to Beck and company, but I hardly think any of them are the Anti-Christ.
And then there is the idea of his that the pro-democracy rioters of Egypt are in league with organized labor, protesting in Wisconsin for a continuation of agreed upon benefits, are all somehow trying to establish a worldwide Muslim caliphate. Beck in fact has been raving about this paranoid fantasy for weeks now.

It doesn't matter what you believe in this case, it matters what the mental cases running Iran believes, last I checked you weren't trying to develop Nuclear Weapons, nor were you funding Terrorists.

Well, I thank you for recognizing that I do not in fact train terrorists or build nuclear weapons.
I just can't believe the current Iranian regime is the Anti-Christ. And if the success of pro-democracy riots in Egypt is any indication, we might just be seeing such successes in Iran before too long. I think that would put that nasty old Anti-Christ in his place.

That is also not what Glenn Beck said:

He is talking about what the crackpots in the leadership in Iran believe.

Regarding the crackpots in Iran destroying Christians and Jews - I gotta see it to believe it.

But what pissed me off more was another Beck video on the link, that is so blatantly anti-union, and so unbelievably one sided. How is the union protests in Madison conceivably tied to riots in the Middle East, other than a slogan on a union member's sign?

I don't think it is an unreasonable assumption that one day additional people will suffer the effect from a nuclear device. I also think it is a reasonable assumption that the driving force may be the emotion generated by differences in religion. I don't think the word "Anti- Christ" is necessary in this scenario, but I can't argue against the use of this word as a metaphor to get people in other religions excited over the situation. It seems to be part of the human condition.

For those that do experience excitement over it; it is part of the same phenomenon that may get others excited enough to use a nuclear weapon to vent their emotions. Whenever anyone feeds the fuel for the excitement, it increases the possibility of bad things happening to people; if history is any indication.

Prophecy is usually self-fulfilling.

Be that as it may, there are unfortunately religious lunatics in this country who are chewing on the bit to fight Armageddon, which they think will signal the return of Christ. Both are nut balls, and I like to think sane people in both countries won't allow that to happen.
The thing is, Beck talk about this end times theology as something common in general to Christianity. It is not- only a relatively small segment buys into it.

Okay, then you agree with Glenn Beck.

It has been reported for many years that there are extremists that would like to destroy others who oppose their views. Your statement is a reflection of that possibility, and an example of some with extremist views that might want to do this. The idea or prophecy of Armegeddon is already out there. Sooner or later someone is likely to take a stab at it; for those that suffer as a result of it; that may be Armegeddon for them, but it is not likely to destroy mankind. I'm not interpreting this literally, but just as a byproduct of beliefs.

The guy on the Glenn Beck show was presenting a literal interpretation for those that hold these beliefs in our Country. I can't say for sure if Beck is looking at this situation from a literal religious perspective, but connecting this with the Wisconsin incident seems like a ploy to excite people with certain political and religious views.

There is usually some kind of cultural reality hidden within what Beck presents. Some of it is scary in the sense there are people out there that want to do these things.

I live in the south, and you would not believe how many ppl here believe in the end times, the literal translation of the book of revelations, the anti-christ is among us and ammorgeddon , These are the same ppl who say the “south is gunna rise again” like a southern mantra.
These ppl, believe Beck like a small town prophet and he uses ppl like this for his agenda

I also, live in the South, and these beliefs do thrive here, particularly among those that struggle the most in life. Some of them complain that they can't afford to see a Doctor, and have chronic untreated illnesses that limit their ability to work, but Beck and others have them convinced that "obamacare" will be the certain downfall of America.

Some are also ready with their guns in case someone comes to put them in detainment camps. Add in the anti-christ and armeggedon to the equation and it is no wonder that some of the people in the country don't have the energy and/or health left to find and keep a job. After all, what's the use if it is the end of days. It is not likely that Beck and others like him, are having a positive effect on the country.

Difference between them and the nut in Iran is, the people in the south don't want armeggedon to come about they're just preparing for it because they believe it is going to be soon; the mental cases in Iran think they can bring about armeggedon and are trying to actually cause it to happen.

If the right views the orthodox rules of Christianity as the standard. Then any movement against the orthodoxy must be anti-christ in their view. Super conservatives are only good at conserving. Imagine if we kept the laws of the medival times.

Excuse me, but even the guy that took over Iran after the Shah was overthrown thought this group was insane. I think that's a pretty good indication they are nuts.

Your bashing Christians for absolutely no reason makes you look like an idiot tbh.
