Joining the Hitler Youth movement was mandatory in Nazi Germany, so you'd have to charge every German that was a child while the Nazis were in power, a case like that would be rather ridiculous.

Though, I think the entire case is ridiculous.

Section headings from the indictment (italics mine):

Quote:
-The Terrifying Church Regime...
- Compulsory membership...
- Psycho-terror...
-The Murderous Forbiddance of Condoms...

And the opening statement:

Quote:
There is strong suspicion that Dr. Joseph Ratzinger, as cardinal and as pope,
caused severe impairment to the mental and physical health of an unknown
number of people in the meaning of Art. 7(1)(k) ICCSt., in any case, provoking
corresponding health hazards...

 I think I'll crack open a beer and read this. Great satire - infant baptism is a crime against humanity!! ! There's no way these guys are serious.

(Edit: On the serious side, this is pure grandstanding. If the lawyers who submitted this were serious in their intent, they would have begun and ended with the sexual abuse scandal. Not used it as a platform to drag in all manner of anti-Catholic claptrap before even approaching the area of actual harm to actual people. )

That's Emperor Ratzinger, or Pope Palpatine.

Actually, I first thought this was going to be about when he had been guarding prisoners forced into slave labor, allegedly with an empty gun, back during the second world war.
He says he got out of combat duty because of a hurt finger. :?

Using the same transparency and open mind that scientists used to figure out that the earth revolves around the sun. (this church had grudges against the people who proved this). People are now starting to realize that the church is corrupt.(starting?) And that regardless of what they think, they(the chuck) have committed crimes which are UNACCEPTABLE in our communities.

To be able to hold these men accountable for their crimes regardless of the deity they believe in would be a huge leap for us. The next big step is to start charging politicians with crimes against humanity.

People have realized the church was corrupt long before the Protestant Reformation.

When the Pope prays, I do wish he would say "amen" instead of "jawohl".

Is this article serious, OP?

If this article gets out into the mainstream media, this could get interesting.

Even though I'm Catholic, I've never much liked the Pope since he became Pope.

What is it about Darth Ratzinger you find displeasing?

Is it because he clicks his heels? Is it because he says "jawhol!" instead of "amen"? Or is it because he salutes the Lord with an extended right arm instead of crossing himself?
