Not nearly as tolerant as the U.S. which has become a tub into which Latin America drains. God is punishing the U.S. for the Mexican War by giving us a 2000 mile long dried up river as a border with Mexico and He is punishing the U.S. for the Spanish-American war by giving the U.S. Puerto Rico as a booby prize. We should have left the Southwest in the hands of the indigenous tribes.

I was in Blackpool (which is a massive seaside resort town here in the UK that isn't very far from me). The local synagogue there had shutters and gates and looked in a terrible state.

I am Jewish myself and not all Muslims hate jews. Last August, I went to Djerba, Tunisia to visit one of the worlds most ancient Jewish communities. The local Jews and Muslims get on with no problem there. in 2002 some foreign suicide bomberf attempted to bomb the famous La Ghriba Synagogue (according to legend, this is one of the oldest sights for a synagogue in the world). Even the local Muslims condemned the bombings. Since then the Tunisian Government has became more protective with the Jews.



What is wrong with Latin Americans, I Love Latin American Culture.

I'm not so paranoid as to think that all Muslims are out to get us. Far from it.

A pork butcher in a predominantly Muslim 'country' (Northern Cyprus doesn't officially exist). I didn't visit but it was such a surprise.

Anyway, I preferred the North over the South, even though much of the North is closed off and it is much less developed.

My point is simple: those you'd expect to be our enemies aren't necessarily so.

Symbol of Islam, it is also the symbol of the Ottoman Empire. Turkey is not a religious state, it is a Secular State evolving around Turkish nationalism.

I saw a Turkish military band parade in Northern Cyprus and I couldn't fail to be moved when I heard them strike up the Independence March.

No, because the BNP want to kick everyone out of the country. I don't, oddly enough. I believe in a fair and tolerant society. Islamism (i.e. Islamic fundamentalism) is anathema to a tolerant society.

As I said, the problem is more with our Establishment than anything else for allowing this situation to occur.

The only problem though is that the worst islamic fundamentalists seem to be the home grown varieties.

Nearly all of the speakers banned from entering Britain are Muslims. Muslim conservatives like Yusuf Qaradawi have been banned. Qaradawi has some iffy views, but there's no way he's linked to terrorism, there's no way he's a salafi/fundamentalist, and there's no way he's more extreme than Michael Savage or Geert Wilders.



That's strange, I thought all the people passing hateful laws which threaten us were Christian and atheist. The people who brought in laws which treat 'staring at someone too long' and 'stimming in public' as crimes because they might offend NT people are Christian or atheist Labour Party folks. The people now trying to cut us off disability benefits because we don't fit easily into tick-boxes designed for physical disabilities are Christian and atheist Tories. The people drawing up "terrorism" guidelines which define "talking to yourself", "walking the wrong way against a crowd" and "using a laptop on a train station" as good reasons to physically manhandle someone are Christian and atheist police chiefs.

I hate to break it to you, but you're more likely to be run over by a drink-driver than blown up by a Muslim. Oh, and fundamentalists don't drink. So they're probably less threat to you than the average member of the public.



Coming from someone with a mental diagnosis, that's a pretty amazing term to use.

You realise that as an autistic person, most of the nationalist "fit in or get lost" types would want to take all your rights away? UKIP want to go back to the 1950s, which means an institution for you. For them, you're one of the 'nutjobs'.

Meanwhile, in the real world, autistic Muslims such as Syed Talah Ahsan, at risk of deportation to America followed by lifelong torture, are getting swept up as 'terrorists' under laws which make it a crime to have the wrong ideas or be on the wrong side.

I wouldn't like to be a Sephardic Jew in the current context, and not at all because of the minimal risk of being targeted by salafis. The trouble is, the thought-police who are out persecuting Muslims can't necessarily tell a Muslim from a Jew, or from a Sikh, or from a (Christian) Brazilian electrician.

You thought wrong. Parliament is a mix of all Christians, atheists, agnostics, muslims, jews, sikhs, hobgoblins and the rest.
