Now only for my own state of Washington to get off it's ass, and make gay marriage legal. 8)

I'm surprised a place like New York hadn't already made gay marriage legal ages ago. They seem quite a "with it" state like California.

U MAD? (or “You Mad?”) is a popular catchphrase used by netizens in discussion forums and comment threads to imply that someone (usually the previous poster) is losing temper during the course of an argument. Its commonly used in internet culture, sometimes in a joking manner.
I try to add humour to political discussions to avoid hard feelings and stuff. Sorry if it seemed a bit random, I'm a big fan of internet culture/memes to I tend to use phrases from within internet culture without realising some people might not understand them. To sum up, basically I'm trying to have a friendly lark/joke on with you. :) Best ignore me as I'm a little bit... Odd.

Took long enough. I can think of a half dozen couples who are probably going to get married soon, seeing as it'll be legal for them now.

Yeah, cuz it's not like gay people can have relationships and emotional bonds and - y'know - care about each other? Nope, they're just in it for the butt f****n' *SARCASM*

Do yo know anybody that's gay? Because....they're people.......

a few. I am totally indifferent to their sexual choices and preferences. That is all of their business and none of mine. I do not even consider the sexual states of people I am friendly with, mostly because I am not interested. Indifference is a wonderful thing. Try it sometime. People are people and the part I see and care about does not include their sexual habits or the condition of their excreta. I relate to others, primarily for their ideas. Of course I do get personal with my spouse. It is the nature of the relationship. And I feel affection (of a parental kind) toward my children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. But to most people I manifest very little emotional affect. I was born mostly indifferent. It is a blessing. What one is indifferent to will never hurt or disappoint one. I consider one the the major blessings of being as Aspie my heart of stone. If you need help, I might be useful. If you need a friend, get a dog.

One of my oldest friends is gay. I've known him since the second grade, and he was our best man when I and my wife got married. He came out only later in life, in his thirties. Growing up Catholic, he believed his conservative father would disown him. It turns out, he didn't. The funny thing is, in school, he and I would make fun of gays, and tell homophobic jokes, the way dumb kids do. I sure regret that, now. My friend now has a long distance relationship with a boyfriend who lives on the other side of the state in Seattle.

I would caution anyone straight, gay, whatever getting married in NY state. Could have changed, doubt it, but the laws concerning getting a divorce in NY State are kinda archaic and do not have the "No Fault" divorce option. Divorce Lawyers must be salivating at the prospect of increasing their potential client base.
