Actually, Tax Cuts can cause an increase in government revenue, especially if more people are working because of those tax cuts. The increase in people working, means more people paying taxes.

The problem is all the supposed tax cuts are only temporary, so nobody in their right mind is going to hire only to then get hit with a massive tax hike.

I'd like to know when tax cuts have ever turned our economy around.

Part of the bill says to small businesses, "If you hire new employees, we will give you a tax break." Isn't that exactly what Republicans would be advocating?

Small Businesses look to hire people based on more than one year. Meaning a $3,000 discount today doesn't mean squat if the cost of that employee from other things is too much to warrant the hiring in the first place. Maybe they ain't teaching that anymore.

Cash for Clunkers, Cash for New Home Owners, Cash for Windows, Cash for Refrigerators...now Cash for Job Hiring. I think Republicans want real Change that Businesses can believe in.

Tax incentives to hire people is exactly what I had in mind when the DOW broke the 12,000 mark. Obama blew that opportunity to jump start the economy though the tax incentive would still be a good idea. Another half trillion dollars of deficit spending was not on my list of things to lobby for. Obama has basically 2 options to cover the cost: tax hikes and accounting gimmicks. Given that there are similarities between the 2009 uber pork barrel spending bill and the jobs plan, trying to cover the cost is going to be hard to get enough bipartisan support.

Tax cuts are not the small business problem, we need customers, profits, and the cost of labor and taxes are covered.

Hiring someone is an investment, so what are we investing in? How is this new hire going to add value?

A tax break, when I can write off the full cost of a machine and not be obligated for its healthcare? Machines do not draw unemployment, and have no status to sue me.

The best this will do is lower Walmarts labor cost, so they can undersell the remaining small business. As they buy in China, none of that adds to the economy here.

This is just another sell out America program.

Look, your leaders in Washington are doing something!

We the People are doing something, buying less, paying down debt, and voting against everyone in office.

Small business is losing money, millions have closed, millions more are about to. 50% unemployment, most houses given back to the banks, DOW 3,000, and money becoming worthless. No more taxes to feed the pigs.

Then comes the Economic Crimes against humanity trials.
