Nick Lampson is the new representative for my district, the one formerly led by Tom DeLay.

Tim...sorry you have to deal with Perry for another term.

Personally, I still miss Ann Richards.

Just found out that Jim Webb won the Virginia senate race, thus giving the Democrats control of both branches of congress.

We still have a republican governor in MN.....what?Evidently the middle class and wealthy dont ant to pay higher property taxes to help care for the people with disabilities.Out of sight and out of mind...so sad,if they had a chance to see these guys and the lame care they receive....

But yeah for the over all Democratic victories.....Good bye Rummy(I think he is just afraid he will be called in front of a congressional hearing on his incompetence.

You didn't vote because you were tired? haha what a lame excuse. Over here it's compulsory. I don't see why it isn't that way in America. 26% of people in Texas voted last year (I'm pretty sure). What a disgrace.

How totalitarian. At least we are a tiny bit free in America so no one has to be forced to vote for people and principles they don't believe in. That is a major reason why so many Amercians don't vote. I used to vote for mainly 3rd party candidates - until I decided that I am no longer interested in endorsing this farce. I guess that would make someone a dissident over there.

My major disappointment with this Election is that the Libertarians didn't do better. Perhaps next time.. But I am happy that President Bush has been checked.
I voted absentee two weeks before the election because I worked at a polling place outside my home precinct. Working the polls was fun, but tiring-we had about 640 voters for the two precincts who voted at that polling place. Overall, my county had about 38% voter turnout, which is a record for a midterm election.
