If crayons were at all toxic, plenty of kids wouldn't have lived into adulthood. But the whole idea of making the crayons taste bad or burn the child's mouth just seems like a low thing for a teacher to do, as plenty of non-autistic kids eat crayons and never get punished or get their behavior modified.

You mean crayons actually taste good to begin with?

Thats just it- children need to get rushed to the emergency room all of the time- for drinking horrible household cleaners that you would think the taste would stop them from drinking.

I've never heard of anyone being rushed to the hospital for eating crayons. If they were harmful in anyway, I doubt they'd be available to children everywhere.
