I like the title, especially because it begs to be clicked (for further explanation).

Google wants an unregulated Internet so they can turn a greater profit, the common man wants an unregulated Internet for the purpose of liberty. This time, the interests of the Technical Empire and the people happen to be working towards the same goal.

Yeah google isnt the good guy.

Im more distrust of them than anyone else.

Morally corrupt people, they have loads of stolen content on youtube, that they profit from, and are still putting ads up.

You cant one second pretend information should be free, than be making money off it the very next.


Anyhow there is tons of reasons to be scared.

The internet is a new land, where there is much profit to be had.

There is no need for a conspiracy when there is a large degree of self servicing interest.

Google wants to be the only source of marketing.

Everyone wants your private data, whether it be google, marketers, the government, etc.

The said part is most people dont understand the difference between hard and soft power.

People when imaging scenarios of control feature something like skynet taking over the world.

The reality is soft power is why the internet is so powerful.

Something as simple as browsing statistics for a group of people is all you need for some very strong leverage.

Half right. Google wants to keep what power they already have to regulate the internet in their favor, as does every other huge corporation in the computer industry. They all want to take each other over, or in lieu of being able to do so, deal only with each other, and keep any other rogue entities, such as they all once were, from toppling them from their pedestals.

Apparently the future of ever small firm grown very large is to squash any competition before it can get traction. That is why so few little firms become big firms, or even survive. The best of them have to sell out, take the money and run.
