It doesn't appear to be an AR-15 taken from the car though.

You can see the gas tube of a typical AK-pattern; the dude is also working the bolt on the right side of the receiver (in comparison to the rear charging handle of the AR-types), just like an AK-pattern (you can see a shell falling out too, though it's too small to tell what it is). The stock looks like a typical AK-type thumb-hole one.

The car belonged to a guy named Chris Rodia, who is not related to the Lanzas. He is a possible source for the other two handguns and is likely the one seen fleeing the scene.

Apparently, the paranoid style is still the defining characteristic of the American right. That a story like this, implausible as it seems, would gain such traction would come as no surprise to anyone who understands the mentality of the populist conservative movement. There is simply no reasoning with these people - they operate with their own set of facts.

Anderson Cooper last night explained that the little girl sitting on the president's lap is in fact the dead girl's sister. And if Lanza had two guns - what of it? Maybe he was expecting to live long enough to hit another school, using that weapon.
Videos like the one in question have been ground out of the paranoid delusion machine non-stop since the massacre. Already, grieving families have been accused of being actors hired by the government in order to realize a diabolical scheme to take away automatic guns. These families, and people like the retired psychiatrist who had ushered a group of surviving children into the safety of his house, have been harassed by these loony a**holes who claim they are liars, and that they had never lost any children. YES - - these stupid pricks are claiming there had never been any shooting at Sandy Hill, or even at the Colorado movie theater!
As terrible a thing as Adam Lanza did, the fact remains, he was probably no longer in command of his mental faculties, and so I just feel numb when thinking about him, rather than hatred. But these stupid jackasses are supposedly sane, and just choose to be delusional out of hatred for the president and any sort of gun control. And so I'm really hating these asswipes nutbars right now.

That's the dark side of these speculations...the effects on the people directly affected by the actions of the criminal. This is why I did not want to come out and say the video must be correct. I just hoped for some explanations for the inconsistencies the video claims.

When the media was disseminating contradictory and inaccurate data and sensationalizing it by putting the families' (actors?) grief to play on people's emotions, I started to wonder if this is what Obama had in mind for "working on gun control under the radar" by "not letting a good crisis go to waste?). At first it seemed like the Obama loyalists in the media were just sensationalizing things to promote gun control, but I've found myself wondering how much (if any) of it really happened? "Parents" getting into character before the press conference, "parents" that have been identified as professional actors from Florida, kids running past a fire station to hide in some weird old guy's house who is suspected to be a SAG member from the L.A. area (who claimed to see the casualty list 2 days before it was released), a dummy in the triage area, a three stooges-like staging area with media running around in it, a kid on a stretcher that appeared fine (which can be observed by the camera crew in the staging area, very little in the way of a fire and EMT response- especially compared to how mass casualty situations are supposed to be handled, and a medical examiner that was evasive and got weird about pointed questions (especially ballistics). That's just going from memory.

I considered the possibility the Obama photo-op was 'shopped (always a serious possibility on the internet), but that does not look like the younger sister. My biggest skepticism is if some tribute and fundraiser webpages were created as early as December 10th. Even if it is 100% a hoax to push draconian gun control laws, that does not mean everything said about it is true.

I'm sure Adam Lanza did indeed kill all those children and his mother, with the weapons shown ("long rifle" is the most accurate statement on that, so it was a rifle).

I'm also sure that said children were used as a stepping stone for political agendas, not including media [ideological] bias (selective truths).

These theorists need to stop harassing the families of this tragedy with their crap. Talk about being insensitive.

Oh, please, don't tell me you seriously believe those grieving parents are actors, or the rest of that paranoid idiocy, do you?

Lots of people think that you can't laugh and smile during tragedy (read that all over the 'net), so they think something is amiss if someone is displaying nonverbal cues that they don't think are appropriate.

Some people laugh and smile on the outside even though they're suffering inside.

I'm not sure how many are actors. This will probably be like the JFK assassination or the Port Arthur massacre. There probably aren't enough people that know everything to ever get to the bottom of it. I'm not ready to believe everything I hear about it. Like I said, even if it really was nothing other than a hoax, that doesn't automatically mean every claim about it is true. For example: no conspiracy theory is complete without the government or a secret society using mind control to set up their fall guy. I don't expect to ever find one of those claims to be worth seriously evaluating. Gullible people have been duped into committing crimes in the past--that's established--but claiming they were MKultra test subjects is far-fetched.

Well, I just don't see a second gunman on the grassy knoll in this case.

This is old conspiracy news. It is debunked by Snopes. It has no more validity than the 9/11 "truther" conspiracy or "we didn't actually go to the moon government conspiracies". What's really sad is the number of people that want to believe it so much that they don't do a simple search to see the facts that debunk these conspiracy theories.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/guns/newtown.asp

There are still people that believe 15 year old film clips copied into you tube videos suggesting that the government has concentration camps set up in the US. This is Alex Jones stuff through and through. Folks like him are getting rich playing with people's minds.

Even if the government wanted to pull a scheme off this, it is impossible. We live in the internet age. People have smart phones and it would be impossible to make the general public keep a secret like this. In fact, that is exactly what makes it so easy to conjure up these kind of conspiracy theories in a short period of time. There is a tremendous amount of information and misinformation than can be manipulated to make almost anything look like reality.

Particularly, when there is an underlying agenda and strong emotions involved, because emotion controls logic. People like Alex Jones have the creative minds and finances to keep the conspiracy theories going almost continuously. Modern media and the amount of information that goes with it, is literally a gold mine for people motivated to emotionally manipulate the general public, for a buck.

People that make these kind of videos are intelligent enough and informed enough to understand their liberties and freedoms are secure, otherwise producing the information would be a death wish. They generate fear and insecurity and take full advantage of it. They are the ones that are abusing liberty because the fear and insecurity they generate may eventually result in the loss of some liberties for those that value and respect it.

No, the government didn't make Hurricane Sandy or Sandy Hook happen but people like Alex Jones will do their best to convince people that the government is a super villain out of a Batman movie. And there are people that are waiting to believe it. And sure enough in the Youtube video linked below, Alex Jones research "experts" are blaming it on a government controlled "batman" conspiracy. People in the general public actually believe this stuff. That is the part that is scary.

This has also become an urban myth spread around the internet, debunked by the snopes article I provided in my last post. The vehicle Lanza used was identified as belonging to a Lanza relative, and Rodia was identified miles away in a completely different vehicle than the "possible suspect vehicle" reported on the law enforcement radio dispatch.
