Yes, £10000 per year for each of the 650 MPs. That's a 15% rise in salary.

The exact wording regards the expense scandal was this:

Which as you say is just like saying your employees are all thieves. If you don't give these guys a rise they will steal all the stock, fill up the wife's car on the company tab, party all night on the company credit card and employ their family as consultants for roles that don't exist.

£6,500,000 extra a year on MPs wages. That is one of the most disgusting things I have ever heard. And Sir (why the hell was he knighted, anyway?) Ian Kennedy is saying "You can't tell me what to do" to party leaders who might intervene. Just like a spoiled child. The arrogance of some of these bastards is sickening. There's no denying it now - the UK is f****d. We are totally f****d. Every year the government gets greedier and greedier. How can the majority of the nation be so stupid that they can't see through these terrible excuses for human beings? It baffles me.
