What - are too many studying Witchcraft and Wizardry instead of geography and physics?
Seriously, I think that the European educational system is, by far, better than the American public school system. Everyone wants a good public school system here but no one is willing to pay for it. Usual American bullcrap.

I'm afraid they're studying binge drinking, and experimenting with drugs ! !

Here's the real question... Are their professors studying the fine art of "social passing"? I'm afraid they are in the U.S. - plenty of people pass courses that they don't study for because they are too busy studying binge drinking and experimenting with drugs. Some are also studying the [sarcasm] very important art [/sarcasm] of college athletics. And God forbid that a professor fail a college athlete. Who cares if the can't even spell Iraq? At least they can score a few touchdowns in a game with a rival school

Its widely though here (Australia) that most Americans confuse Australia with Austria So most Americans are not taught geography?
ha ha ha - I did 2 years of Engineering. Something like 90% of my class thought there was some threshhold force that had to be exerted on a beam before you got any deflexion. They just couldn't get that any wieght/force gave some deflexion, even if not measurable.
Isn't it recommended that you put cold water on an iced up car windscreen? That may be a contributor to the myth. (it rarely gets cold enough to ice up a windscreen here, so I don't know about this).

Most Americans never heard of Austria.
When I had to bypass my heater coil(or is it core?) in my truck because it was leaking.
My dad told me to light a candle on the dash to remove the ice. It worked well. It rarely gets that cold here either.
